1955 Sovereign or Liner?
I inherited my parents 1955 30' Airstream (at least according to my registration the year is 1955). Unfortunately my father put a few dents in it during his later years. It has the original roof air though it will need servicing. The original interior is still there. Most of it can be restored. though some will need to be replaced. In looking at a couple of examples I have yet to find one with the same layout. Mine has a front kitchen with a front bathroom on the opposite side with a shower. The center is the living area. Next back is a closet. Opposite the closet is a built in desk. There are bunk beds in the rear. Can anyone tell me what model I have.

Can you post a few pictures and the VIN. Is the rear cap straight down or sloped to the rear?

Sounds like a rare 1954 30' Salon Liner which did have a front kitchen and bathroom. You can find the floor plan here:
http://www.airstream.com/service/document-archive/
It is possible the Airstream also built the Salon Liner as a 1955 model, possibly in late 1954.

Does this look familiar: 1955 Liner 30' - Vintage Airstream
or this: 1955 Liner 30' - Vintage Airstream
Since you have a Ohio trailer, the VIN should be between O5043 and O5075 and only five digits

It is indeed a Salon Liner. There are bunk beds in the back rather than twins otherwise the layout is identical to that in the 1954 Brochure. It was registered as a 1955. Hopefully photos will appear soon. Waiting for a moderator to approve.

The O5027 serial number and the tail lights confirm this is a 1954 Salon Liner, but it is not unusual that it is registered as a 1955. It has been noted that back then Airstreams were often dated by the year they were first registered rather than the year built.
BTW, it is sooooo cool. Never seen one before. Would love to see interior photos.

I agree with Joe, that is one cool trailer. I have a 1954 29' Liner with the VIN O5006.
