22' CLASSIC 1955 Airstream trailer, outside beautiful, needs some interior work, $2000,
I spied it last night late so called early this morning and it has been sold. Obviously it went right away since it was only listed on Friday.

Door handles
FC's without door handles seem to find their way to my house, can anyone point me in the right direction to find something that looks reasonable close to the original, I also need a front window frame, any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the window frame that is in the skin, and just need the opening section?
You might have to fabricate this from aluminum skin material. I have not seen any for sale in a long time.

Jim,
Can you post a picture of what you need or what the vacant space looks like?

So, are the new 2008 Flying Clouds eligible for registration in your Flying Cloud registry?

it would be the 2009, however, i would vote a big fat NO. The newer "flying cloud" bears no resemblance to the original flying clouds, in design, style, or intent.
captain jones started this thread so i'll let him make the call

Hi Captain
I have just become the proud owner of a 1953 FC - Serial Number O 3069 (Ohio).
Her new home will be in deepest Devon in the UK. I have just imported her through 'Maybricks' (who I can recommend highly) and after fitting a new axle and converting the tow hitch to EU standards, I'll be starting to restore her. Although her floor is shot, pretty much all the cabinetry is there & in good condition, so the intention is to keep her as 'original' as possible.
It took me a while to make my mind up as to which trailer would be right for us but I agree with you the Flying Cloud is perfection... well, with a lot of TLC ours will be.
Very happy to join your register.

my wife and i just found a 1951 flying cloud near our home. its all original and is useable as is. but it does need a good cleaning and some of the wood inside has been painted.we bought it ,hooked up and towed it 40 miles home without a problem.the original caravan number (63) is still visable on each end. this makes 4 now, a 51 flying cloud, 60 tradewind, 68 sovereign, 92 classic excella 1000 34' we also have a 66 shasta. we use our collection of mid sixtys chevys to take to shows.

Stanton 66- What is the serial number of your 51 and I will add it to the list.
Yukionna- I have no interest in tracking the new ones. The reason I started this list was to see how many of the originals are still around. I have no problem if someone else wants to do something with the new ones.
