I've got a '51 FC (gutted right now) and a '53 FC w/many original interior "elements" still remaining (but in tough shape). I don't feel like mine are/were worth restoring to original, so I'm rebuilding to my liking/needs. Not sure what your question is, but I'm sure there are others w/similar trailers that have leaned more towards "restoration".

There are many of us who have had trailers in various states of repair and have done varying levels of restorations from frame-off to mere redecorating. I've not done a frame-off, but I've done some fairly serious repairs on a number of vintage trailers. I recently sold a '53 FC to another member here as well, and they've gutted it and are doing a full resto. What info, specifically, are you looking for?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Flying Clouds. There's some pretty neat ones out there to get inspiration from.

My '51 is pretty much done now, with a couple of cabinets over the twins we've decided would make life easier to do. You can see it here

http://www.vintageairstream.com/arch...ud2/index.html

We did ours up to suit our needs, not to any restoration standards. Has AC and microwave hidden in cupboards, all 12v wiring with converter, added gray and black waste tanks and bathroom. Lot's of fun. 5 months of nights and weekends but well worth it.

I'm re-starting on my '58 Silver Streak this spring now that the airstream is done but not nearly as enthusiastic as I was with the Airstream for some reason. It just needs to be done.

A friend bought a wrecked 2004 AS off of eBay and is using it to flesh out his '47 Curtis-Wright. By doing it this way he'll save quite a lot of money.
