Ring base recliners

Have two Lambright ring base swivel recliners on order for renovated 2014 27'FC. Need recommendation on mounting them to the floor.

We have another brand ring base swivel recliners and don't mount them to the floor. They have built-in plastic glides on the bottom which grip the floor and have never moved in thousands of miles of travel.

I like them loose. We can push them around for full recline, or to sit at our folding side table, or to lighten the too-heavy hitch load on our truck a bit when towing. When traveling we push them so the arms are close together in case they want to swivel, each holds the other.

You might give it a try before fastening them down.

My 2001 Safari 25 had recliners installed by the original owner at JC. They used lag screws into the OSB floor. One of them stripped out. I replace them all with combination bolts, half lag bolt, half machine bolt so I could remove the recliners without exercising the threads in the floor. The PO had JC install LaZBoy recliners. They just drilled the rings for the bolts.

We too have a swivel base recliner and have not attached it to the floor. One of the main reasons we have not is we sometimes need to shim up one side if trailer is not exactly level otherwise I keep moving away from the TV, plus it makes cleaning much easier.

The sitting area is at the rear of the trailer and consequently more motion. In our old '91 29' Excella we had a chai on casters that never moved because it was in the front of the trailer.
