Overlander Junk Yard find!

This weekend, I went to a local junk yard I know where there were two Airstreams, a 1963 (mdel unknown and will never be known now) and a 1968 Overlander. The 1963 (good glass) was crushed last week. I was crushed to hear this, as I was on the prowl for some parts for my two 1965 trailers. The 68 is still there. The guy gave me all of the screens (all of them are in excellent shape) and window hardware, plus curtain tracks, plus old gas lights, and cupboard latches for $20. The glass is all there too. I'll be getting ththe windows. The door is in excellent shape as well. I am going to get the Univolt too, probably $5. Does anyone need any parts, cabinets, sink, furnace, toilet, etc. I'm here with the Marine Corps so my time is limited, but am willing to help out anyone out there. Located at Camp Lejeune, NC.

It also has Air!

I would be interested in the magazine rack, spice rack, and vent cranks if they will fit a 1970.

Still need rubrail

I really could use a 6 foot section (prefer rear as they are usually better , but any will do) of rubrail . It needs to be the ribbed one ,not the one that accepts the vinyl insert.

Man, I was just in NC the 1st picking up a trailer. Could have come by to get the right rear crown panel and left rear base panel. If the lights have the square plastic covers they would be good to get as someone is always looking for those and the replacements I found do not fit. Replace the whole light for want of a cover is heartbreaking. What is the interior wood? Is it the brown looking oak (really European Brown Ash)? The bathsink/shower faucet is another prize.

'68 Overlander parts

Hi Rob,

If it has a curb side awning that is complete , hardware/ arms, I would be interested. Material condition is not important.
the one that must have been on mine was 17 ft long. a previous owner aparantly took it off my a/s. Hope to here from you.

'68 Overlander parts

Hi Rob.

I have been looking for a bumper for my '59 Flying Cloud - depending on the setup (some have been modified for spare tire, etc.) it might fit the bill! ...appreciate any help.

Thanks,

John.

Looking for a good working Univolt, and how about a water heater that works and does not have holes in it???

Vent crank arm washers??? ours are toast which means they don't crank you can just push them up and of course gravity works in the opposite

Skyliner Antenna crank handle - hubby broke it the other day oooppss. And we are desperately looking for 3 square light covers 6 7/8 X6 7/8.

If you can help in any of these please give me a PM - it would be very much appreciated - but if you can't the thought was great too.

I could use the entire flat front window (approx 20" X 39") and the curved side window and frame. (approx. 20" X 39"). Also...if the front window has the rock shield and possibly the whole door and any and all screens and window parts...and of course the A/C would be awesome, and probably the univolt. I have a lead on a 68 Overlander and should be getting it real soon. Once I get it, I possibly could use more things, so let me know. I can make a road trip, if I need too. PM me and we'll discuss it. Thanks!! I'm so excited.

fly2. You can order a tempered front window from your local glass guru. Curved are very rare.

Paul, Thanks!!! I just found out from the owner that the rear one larger curved window completely is missing and the other rear one is cracked. So...I would be ecstatic if I could be able to fix both of these as I've heard they are very rare. All of you are awesome. What a wonderful group of people you are. I'm so looking forward to getting my first A/S and fixing it up! And...I'm sure this forum will be PRICELESS...as you all are! Thanks!!!

This weekend

Everyone,

I'll go over there this weekend, and see what I can get. I think this is a 1968 because of the Owners manual in it, that I have. It has the dark walnet color interior, twin beds, and rear bath. I'll check on everything everyone is asking about and go down the messages from everyone. I'll get what I can.

Rob

I know where there a junk yard International 31' too....with full length road awning, full interior, and windows. I'm going to go get stuff from that over Memorial Day weekend, as they are only open during the week.

Rob,

I sure hope you had fun and found some "goodies" over the weekend. I'm dying to know if you were able to get any of the curved windows. (Please, please?) Or the A/C. I sure wish I had been able to go, too! It's so great of you to help save all those pieces from being destroyed...and all the while help some of us, who are in dire need! Hope it was fun. Keep me posted. Thanks again!!

Rob,
What is the approximate year of the 31' Int'l? Always looking for a few parts but hard to find the older stuff.

He's not going until Memorial Day weekend.
Curved glass is almost extinct and when found is very pricey. Most people opt for the Lexan /Acrylite replacements.
