We are the proud new owner's of a 1974 Airstream Land Yacht Tradewind (my very first RV)! It's definitely in need of a full interior restoration and I'm wanting to paint the walls. The walls are rough-like, I'm not sure of the material. Any suggestions of what kind of paint I need to use on the walls and cabinets?

Prep is your key to success. Clean the surface well making sure to remove any oil or grease. You can use TSP found in the paint department prior to applying any paint. I used a good primer and then a good latex paint in your choice of color from Lowes or Home Depot. Mine has held up very well. We replaced all of the cabinets so I did not paint those.
Hey KM.
Did the same, clean with TSP, use a stain blocking oil base primer then roll on any color of latex paint. Note- rollers don't work on the curved corners. I filled and sanded any defects or unused rivet holes with auto body filler before painting.
