As I recall, they are 3/16" and about an inch long. They remove in seconds by grabbing the ring and giving a tug. Re-installation is just a pop-'em-in exercise.

Being a practicioner of profound overkill, I also installed jack-nuts into the skin where the brackets attach to the wall. Then I used stainless machine screws to affix the brackets. That whole thing is going nowhere!

I made it. It's made from 3 pieces of 3/4" X 3/4" clear white ash with little spacers to give it the "look" we wanted. The assembly is dowelled and glued.... certainly will outlast me. There's a little 'foot' on the bottom with felt to keep it from marring the floor.

I think we are going with lowering the table onto pillows. It seems like the best compromise, considering that we really don’t want to lower the table each time we travel, nor do we need all the repairs of what will likely happen if we leave the table up.

We have had two Airstreams over the past 14 years and never stowed our dinette table. When in the up position, the clips beneath and on the back of the table are set into two receivers on the wall. We have never had any problems.

We have a 27fb international, but same deal. We lower the table, but rest it on top of the cushions...cant be bothered to lift up everything to stow it "properly" every time. I know people who dont lower it to stow either, but our dealer told us we should.

That is our practice, too. It seems to be little trouble and ensures no damage.
