Can someone tell me what this is?

I recently purchased a 2007 Airstream Classic and found this under the dining room table. Looks like it has 4 C Batteries in it. The picture is actually sideways. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you traced that wire going down from the box? Maybe some kind of battery back-up for . . . ? Or a battery charger powered by the onboard 12-volt system? Are the batteries labeled "Rechargeable" ? The green label would be consistent with this IMO.

Good suggestions in the next post . . . door bell . . . any button on the exterior near the main entry door?

Maybe remove the batteries and see if there is any voltage coming in on that wire. The white label has "BATT" and "TRANS" on it suggesting that 12-volt or maybe 120-volt shore power is charging the batteries IMO. Is there a voltage stated on that label?

More clues please!

Good luck,

Peter

Looks like it could be a doorbell. Have you tried replacing the batteries?

It's the doorbell with a missing cover.

Is there a doorbell button to the outside left of your door?

It might be a battery charger. There should be a electrical plug behind it. See if it comes out from a plug.

It’s the doorbell

I have a 2013 Classic. It’s the doorbell for sure.
