I am new here and have only posted a couple times as far as our owning and restoration of a very rare 3 door
1967 Airstream
Sovereign. We purchased the trailer planning to restore it for use as a mobile sales unit for our business, Calamity Jane's Trading Co. of the Napa Valley.
Today we finished removing the internal wall segments. After seeing what I found I am glad the thing made it back to California from Kansas intact.
Many of the bolts and mounts on the body to floor/frame are rusted out or gone on the street side of the unit. Much of the wood is so rotten it is not supporting the weight of the body to the point the body on that side is sagging an inch or so lower than the rest of the body.
I guess the good thing is our plan all along was to remove the body from the frame. Please feel free to give input and advice! I will be seeking all I can get along with suppliers of materials needed to put it all back together. I will also be posting interior parts and such that we will not be using for sale so if you are looking for something, speak up.
You can also follow along with the process and use of this beast at our Facebook Page of Calamity Jane's Trading Co. of the Napa Valley.
Thanks!
