Hello everyone,

My wife has always had a dream of owning a vintage Airstream. This last year we finally made her fantasy a reality. She often says I was not onboard for this journey. Truth is we finally moved into a home with enough property to support the dream. To anyone considering undertaking a Airstream remodel this is key...you need space to make it happen. So I said no until I could finally say yes. We have been hard at it for many months now. It has been interesting melding my gloom and doom viewpoint with Christie's anything is possible good nature. The vision is hers, the expletives deleted were mine. So without further adieu here is our MayBelle. We hope you love her as much as we do.

Welcome to Air Forums. I'm glad you joined in and gave us a link to your 65 project. I can understand the cuss words. Old Airstreams can get exasperating at times. But press on regardless, the end will eventually come.

A lot of folks consider the 65 model year one of Airstream's best. It is the last year of the flat windows, and was well built with nice woods and good hardware. It was back in the "jet age" where Airstream was taking ideas from the aviation industry.

I hope to see threads by you in the near future.
