1965 Caravel interior
the interior work is a lot more fun than working under the caravel,,,i`ve finished all the tank intallation,,the axel,,,and the floor,,,the new insullation is in,,,and the wiring,,i`ve put in 2 fantasick fans and a sky light,,,,i`ve put in 37 in. bench seats and the coucho sits under the front window,,,,there`s lots of room from coucho to the back of the bench seat,,,when i pull the goucho out there is about 8 ins. to the bench seat,,,i`m puting in a flip up computor table on the back of the bench seat,,,,when the fridge and the sink and stove are in,,,there will be around 27ins. to the bench seats,,,the bath room was sanded down and repaired and i put a marine 2 part epoxy primmer and paint,,,,the floor is interlocking floating floor(that doesnt float anymore) i`m afraid i`m not very good at explaining things,,,but i hope the pics will be more helpfull,,,i`ll post more pics later,,,thanks,,,,,,,,,,,keith and sheila

Wow!
Looking Great! I recently upgraded the interior on the Argosy. You are right, it's much more enjoyable working on the inside than underneath. Check out my Blog Entries.

1965 caravel
thanks for asking,,,,,,i put down foam first,,then the floor,,,the flooring is 18 ins sq,,,,if i could have found the colour i wanted in a straight board i would have gone that route,, the square click-in floor is really a lot more work than i thought but it looks good and it`s the colour we wanted,,,,it`s ment to be a floating floor,,,but because of the small space and the cabinates which screw thru to the subfloor,,,it`s no longer a floater,,,and it`s a lot easier to put every thing on a complete floor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,keith

Lovely! I always wondered how a side dinette would fit into a Caravel. It seems like such a nice way to take advantage of those two big side windows. I can't wait to see it finished.

These photos have decided me on the following: my forever airstream will have a dinette at the side, that can convert to a bed and has storage in the bottom and backs.
Do you have more photos?

You've done a great job! The blonde wood and dark floor are great, not to mention the striped fabric that pulls it all together! I love the idea of a flip-up computer table. Brilliant!

Keith and Sheila,
I love T@Bs too. Would love to have one. Circle Dr....ha ha ha! When we moved here, we were wondering why it wasn't called C-Drive. Well, finally, work has begun on the completion. I think it will be done in 2 or 3 years (can't remember the date). We're all pretty excited. We love living here, but we have an ongoing joke that the city planners are all drunks. None of the lights are timed, and the malls all seem to have one entrance/exit. You should see the insanity at Costco and the liquor store mall on 8th St! If you are ever passing through, we'd love to see your Caravel!

Very Nice Keith - that is going to be one sweetheart of a trailer. Look forward to seeing it in the New Year.

We have a 66' Caravel, and we need about all the same things done. We haven't started...can you fly to Texas and help us? ;-)
Keep pictures coming! I discussed a side diner this a.m. with hubbie and he disagreed!
