Hello from another Coloradoan: I missed your post last March. Buried in snow I guess. You have a very nice looking vintage vintage trailer meaning old. It is worth a ton. It appears it was very well renovated and hopefully updated a bit if you will use it for traveling. The amenities in '53 weren't that great. Better than a tent though.
I think the Cruisette was only built from 51 maybe just into 53. You might have one of the last ones. It was one of the first trailers with a box ladder frame and A frame for towing. The pipe frame was on the way out. Your trailer is very rare and valuable. Keep it safe.
OTRA15 posted a picture of your tow vehicle. It will prompt a lot of discussions I'm sure. I think your hitch is inadequate, your brakes inadequate, the trailer isn't level or slightly nose down, and power for safely merging on the highway looks inadequate. It doesn't even have brake lights. I know Cruisettes are lightweight, but better plan on a more modern tow vehicle.
