When you’re going through hell, keep on going...

Jeff Bezos recently sent this quote in a letter to shareholders, and it is so perfect for what we are collectively experiencing right now.

“When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.” — Dr. Seuss

Post a favorite quote that gives you strength during difficult times.

Your "going through hell" quote is attributed to Churchill.

So was this one that I find inspirational, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

2 of my favorites from that great Rock 'n' Roll philosopher-comedian, Joe Walsh, both from the song, "Life's Been Good":

"I can't complain, though sometimes I still do."

"They say I'm lazy, but it takes all my time."

Thanks to you all for giving me a chuckle. Hope these give you all a grin as well.

Oh! Sage advice Bon Scott, and also a song title for ACDC.

"Ride on."

While this won't bring any chuckles, this has always helped when I just need to take things one day at a time.

"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." Matthew 6:34

That Ray Charles quote is a good runner up for me. The quote from Glampman's boss would always catch my attention at work as well.

My first Boss...something I heard often as an apprentice.

"Komm schon, mach etwas, irgendetwas, auch wenn es falsch ist, mach es, bis es nicht mehr ist."

"Come on, do something, anything, even if it's wrong, do it 'til it ain't"🤔

Thank you Theo.👍

Here's a couple from Tom Waits--

"Don't plant your bad days. They grow into weeks. The weeks grow into months. Before you know it, you got yourself a bad year. Take it from me - choke those little bad days. Choke 'em down to nothing."

"When your down on your luck and you've lost all your dreams there's nothing like a campfire and a can of beans."

That's a good one. Just curious what apprenticeship you served if you don't mind sharing.
