Weekend on Lake Michigan

Went camping on Lake Michigan and played at Oval beach this weekend. The beaches and campground were full, even two weddings taking place at the beach. Had nearly no social contact outside of my companion and was largely outside, we shall see. The parts of Michigan, Kentucky, and Indiana I’ve been to in the past month seem about the same, some wearing masks, most not. The idea that wearing a mask is a political statement seems widely assumed in the areas I’ve been in lately. Using hospital trained hygiene practices here.Click image for larger version

Cool pic. Where were you? Did you go to Indiana Dunes?

You probably know that outside activities are generally safer re: COVID transmission as long as you keep your distance and wash your hands.

Oval beach, just north of Indiana Dunes.

And yes, I do know less of the viral load from a SARS‑CoV‑2 infected individual is present in diluted outdoor air (“the solution to pollution is dilution” as they say). Our hobby is timely and hygienic (relatively) too!

Looking forward to exploring the Great Lakes area more.
