RV Trader has 904 new and 277 used listed as of 8/6/20 1:48 EST. There are still some out there if you are willing to travel. Good luck to all. Let's see how this plays out.

Then where are they?

We camp local in Maryland quite a bit, and I'm usually the only Airstream in the campground. I've seen a few on the road and my daughter saw a Nest being pulled for the first tie a few days ago (I guess it's been a rarity to see them). We're going to Cunningham Falls next week, so maybe there will be another Airstream there...but I haven't see an increase in them at the campgrounds.

Now if they would only continue building Airstream Park's, City parks, National Parks, County Parks, BLM's.

All these trailers have to go somewhere.

No Airstreams

Just spoke with the largest Airstream dealer in Canada, Can-Am RV. They have no inventory & don’t see much chance in getting anymore in the near future.

I am not sure what you are intending to say? Sorry if I am dense. They have zero and are a dealer....of course they want a bigger one?

We bought our 2020 Bambi 19cb the end of February. We received an excellent price for our trade-in and purchased the Bambi for a great price. Everyone was happy. The dealer sold an RV in February. We were able to purchase a Bambi. There have only been a few times in my life when the planets aligned in such a fashion. So, we'll keep the Bambi and enjoy it for the next few decades.

Prices will plummet

What do you think will happen to airstream prices and every other RV a year or two from now when Covid passes and today’s impulse buyers are stuck with these expensive RVs. If you can hold off there will be some very good deals in the next year or two.

I think the RV industry will see the opposite effect of this large demand once people can get back to their normal travel routines. Airstreams will always hold their value but it will be interesting to see if the people actually airstreams out of a spontaneous decision process or if they were actually contemplating the purchase And Covid pushed them over the edge.

In any case, I think it will impact the RV industry in a negative way in the future.

I believe the best time to buy will be 2 years from now...I bet there will be a glut of people deciding rv'ing is not for them after covid

It’s also not just RVs. I called my local Taylor guitar dealer last week and he has none in stock, and was told he may be able to get some in October. Many factories are running at less than full capacity, and it will be a while before they can catch up from recent full lockdowns.

Values will go up for the next 1-2 years. Assuming the implementation of a successful Hunan virus vaccine, combined with new RV buyers finding out that RVing is not for them, values will settle back to historical prices.

We have been looking for a 30’ Bunk, and I’ve called most of the dealers on RV Trader...and they are all gone. So I’ve been inquiring as to why they have not taken the ads down, and the majority of them say it’s keeping their name out there...still kinda frustrating.

Kinda wish we had not sold out 25FC....

You are right!

We just picked up our 2020 Classic 33 ( 3d and final AS model for us - we love it !!!) at Colonial yesterday (Nick Lenzo and whole team are super btw!!!!!) and the lot had quite a few empty spaces and I saw several rows of “sold” stickers!!

One other point these guys pre delivery inspection process is super. They detected bad water pump and replaced and found a overhead drawer light that was totally missing. Colonial rocks!!!
