Cook Top

I saw the new Caravel Model and like what I saw. I especially like the 3 Burner Cook Top! I think it is made by Contour.
Does anyone know what Model it is and do you like it?

Thanks, Pat

Sorry for the delay. We have 2022 Caravel FB. The 3 burner Contour stove is the real deal. Each burner is very strong. I typically cook at settings 5 and below.

A couple of items worth noting that may be repeats of other posts. The cooktop grill grates rest on little rubber grommets. When you remove them (we do for motoring because lots of roads create a lot of movement inside the trailer), make sure to lift them straight up and not at an angle. Otherwise, it’s easy to have the top of the grommet rip from the bottom because the hole edges on the stainless top are not smoothed off. I had to replace 6 of them. Only source was Contour customer service noted in a different thread; $28 for a set of 12. Yikes.

Second, after about 10 trips we noticed that the cooktop was loose and sliding around slightly. The top is held in place by three short pieces of metal screwed to the underside of the countertop. The convection microwave has to be removed to access them, which is easy because removing the six screws around the front cover plate will allow you to slide out and unplug the microwave from the wall outlet under the cabinet. The metal retaining pieces are not exactly the best for what they need to do, so I’ll probably replace them sometime in the future.

In all, the 3 burner unit is great. Very happy with it.
Cheers.

We also have a 2022 Caravel 20FB, and ours came with a variant of the Contoure that includes small screws in each burner to hold the grate in place, to prevent it falling off in transit, which apparently wasn't that uncommon.

Confirmed with Contoure that there were multiple iterations of this cooktop in the 2022's.
