No direct experience, but partly to bump this so others may comment, I will share our thoughts on doing that in our 16’ which has a similar front layout. We never did anything because we decided one lithium battery was adequate for our needs.
We considered the front location you described which we thought would work well, if maybe a bit underfoot. We also considered the rear storage area where it would be (in our trailer) adjacent to the converter and other electrical stuff. We never got to a decision point, but think both are good.
