The sink finally installed!

This was so easy! OK, not a horribly difficult project in the end. It just required staring at it for hours trying to figure everything out and about 20 trips to the store.
It's "thru" bolted to the wall and along with a layer of 3M VHB mounting tape -- feels rock solid. I'll post some of the plumbing details later.

Morning
Just wondering, where does the drain and faucet hoses go once they disappears into the wall.

I drilled holes in the wall and just stuck them in! kidding...
I'll post some of the plumbing details that I previously promised this weekend.

We just got back from camping for several days and the sink worked out great!

Some plumbing details

I'm sure the plumbing could be done in different ways (probably better), I used a 1 1/2" abs fitting with a 3/4" hose connection to connect the drain. I wanted a 1" hose connection to match the sink drain , but couldn't find one. It would probably have been easier to use a "saddle" to tap into the pipe, but i was nervous about leaks. I disassembled the roof vent to give me a enough flex in the pipes to put this fitting in. Whatever you choose to tap into the drain pipe, be sure to check that it clears the bathroom cabinet/toilet paper holder; mine does, but barely!
I am going back to put a "trap" of some sort to prevent drain odors (maybe inline trap), but I was in a hurry getting ready for a trip. We just plugged the sink when not in use. The good news is, that removing the bathroom cabinet for access to the plumbing is very easy and there's quite a bit of room for extra plumbing back there.

For the sink water supply, i just used a SharkBite T fitting to tap into the shower line (easy). I used a hole saw cut the hole for the water supply line. So, when we were at our campsite, we turned on/adjusted, and left the shower faucet on (shower sprayer off) and it supplies warm water to the sink when you open the sink faucet - worked great.

For the sink mounting bolts, i was able to reach behind the shower wall and use large metal washers to bolt thru on the back side with nylock nuts. As I mentioned previously, i also used heavy duty mounting tape between the back of the sink and the wall.

In hindsight, I might have gone with a taller faucet. This is a very small sink and I have large hands , but I really liked the quality and looks of the marine faucet. We are very happy to have a sink in the bathroom!

Bathroom sink

Looks very slick. Guess it is my turn. Any help with where to get the parts would also be helpful. Will start with cutting the sink that I already have.

Thanks

For the drain, you could use something like I did https://www.amazon.com/Canplas-11233.../dp/B00GK3S2GA or you could use a saddle style if you can find it in ABS plastic https://www.amazon.com/FIMCO-1-1-ABS.../dp/B00KY0NUE4

I just used washing machine drain hose, but there may be better choices out there.

The water pipes are 1/2" Pex piping. I have the tools for working with this, but the SharkBite fittings are so easy to use! I purchased locally, but the fitting I used is similar to this https://www.supplyhouse.com/SharkBit...EaAr99EALw_wcB

You'll have to figure out adapting to the supply line. No doubt there's a better way to do this than I did -- I might be changing this too, but it works for now.

Bathroom sink

Ok, finally done. Same thing only different. Had to change to the shower trap drain cover because the saddle was too small for the vent pipe. Was still able to use the sink drain trap so all was not lost. It turned out as a bonus because I found the problem with the shower drain when I opened it up. It had a funky gasket on the flapper that was sticking to the opening causing me to have to plunge it all the time. Pealed off the gasket and it works great. Also I left the check valve to the shower head in the line. Also, it took both drains to make one that worked for the sink. thanks for all your help.

This is amazing! We are considering the 16rb Caravel and thought it was awful having to clean up in the kitchen sink as well. Did you do this yourself or hire someone? How would one find someone to retrofit a sink as you have? Thank you! Nish

The bathroom continues to change...

Added a step in front of the very tall toilet and a hanging trash can.

Morning
Looks really good. Did you build the step your self and where did you get your trash can. The dimensions would do also.

I modified a step I purchased -- cut the height down, etc. https://www.teakworks4u.com/products...62c3a481&_ss=r
The step fits very securely in place, but for extra safety I added some heavy duty waterproof Velcro on the bottom where it sits on the shower pan. Obviously, I pull the step out for a shower.

The trash can is still a work in progress, but it hooks over the cabinet door and you can slide it under the sink as needed. I've tried two different versions. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Still making changes...

I changed faucet to get a bit more height under the spout -- other faucet was a bit too low for my big hands
Added some motion sensing led lights in the cabinet and went with a stainless trash can that easily lifts off the mounting bracket for a shower.

Thanks! They are suction cup mounted and work great/very secure...at least on fiberglass or smooth surface.

Got them from Amazon -
