This is exactly what my wife and I have been talking about doing. Where did you get the shelf?

Here you go -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used a cutting board for the top, but obviously you can choose whichever top you prefer.

Thanks

Cutting board I uses

I see the cutting board I used is on sale now https://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll...13-34/10046956

You will have to cut/saw the width down to a little under 10" so it doesn't hit the seat cushion when folded down. Mine still needs a little more trimming

I am retracting my positive review of this awning. It has twice turned inside out like an umbrella in the wind. It seems the piles are too flexible for the design. Useful only in non windy areas.

And I bought one because of you!
Actually I haven't used it. Thanks for the heads-up regarding the wind.

It’s great with no wind. Back to the drawing board. I may try getting stronger poles. Will let you know it that works. We are on the road for our second 6 week trip. Sitting in our second day of rain. I wish it were working right now.

I was wondering how you are doing since you have had time to use your battery set up. what do you use to charge when boondocking.

I really don’t have a battery setup. I just replaced the two lead batteries with one Battleborn 100ah lithium battery. Saved about 40 pounds in tongue weight and got more nosecone room. It works better that the original battery system, still having about 3 days of boondocking. However, I do have a foldable Renology 100 watt portable solar panel system which I pull out and hook up if I am boondocking. Haven’t had any battery issues at all.

Heating pad for my lithium batteries

Pretty simple installation to keep the lithium batteries above 32 degrees. I used a 12v thermostatically controlled tank heater to heat my "battery compartment". The battery trays are slightly raised on the outer bottom edges so they aren't crushing the heating elements in the pad.

Backup/rear view camera

I finally went with an inexpensive wireless model, but it was easy to install and seems to work great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Morning
Wow, you just keep on rolling. Looks like a nice upgrade. I just ordered a new Wen 560203i 2000W gen. Has a Yamaha engine that I have had great luck with. 39lbs, Just down the road from you in Cal. from Wen for $374 with free shipping. Did you have any luck with the weather stripping?

Happy Trails

I purchased the weather stripping, but haven't used it yet. I looked at Wen's website and that looks like a really good price on the generator!

Thanks!

Wen Generator

Well, received the generator yesterday. Used the 5w-30 synthetic installed NGK BP4HS sparkplug set @ .025 and the Wen 55201 Magnetic dipstick. Used midgrade non-ethanol gas. Pulled on it 2 times and it fired right up. Used my wife's hair dryer and toggled between 1300 and 1500W and it worked really well.

This battery is only 10AH and the Nest fridge draws 4amps. Would not even run it overnight.
