Garfish, our 2019 27' GT has the 9855. We've got 50A service, dual A/C's.

On the 27', it's under the refrigerator, close to the distribution panel.

Not sure if it's different for the 25'. NOTE: The 8955 is the Distribution Center part number.

If you have an Airstream with a single A/C (30 Amp Service), then your shorepower converter is a WFCO 8955. This converter on my 2018 Globetrotter was able to charge at 13.8V and float at 13.2V. I never saw it charge at 14.4V like its advertised to do. Therefore, I replaced the battery charging section with a PD4655 Wildcat which will boost charge at 14.2V, absorb charge at 13.8V, and float charge at 13.2V. I wanted a 14.2V boost to quickly charge my batteries with a generator when boondocking. If you rarely boondock and charge with a generator, the stock WFCO 8955 charger will work just fine without upgrading.

AirMiles, we have the 25FBT with the WFCO 8955PEC. We do boondock fairly often, or stay in GGs without any hookups. I have been using a Honda 2000 to try and keep up with battery usage. (That was with a 23FB that had minimal battery drain). I’m thinking the GT25 will have quite a bit more power usage. How difficult is it to put in the PD4655? I did a similar install on the 23FB, but that was several years ago. Also, I was thinking of getting a suitcase solar charger. Can I have the solar charger and generator running at the same time? (With the PD4655?). Will it accept charging from both?

If you boondock often and charge with a generator you will benefit from upgrading to a PD4655. It was easy to install a PD4655 in my 30A Airstream. Just be careful to put the 120V wires and 12V wires in the right places. On mine, they needed to be criss-crossed versus the stock charger. I used the "Wildcat" version of the PD4655 and didn't need to change out the 12V fuse board.

Yes, you can get a solar suitcase and leave it connected while boost charging with a generator. My panels are permanently mounted so the solar charger is always connected and charging while I am boost charging with the generator and the PD4655.

I am also replacing my WFCO 8955 converter unit, but I have come across an issue. My new PD4655LIV fuse circuit board has 1 less pos terminal. See pictures. Top pic is current board. Do you know where I wire the extra red wire on the new board? Looks like it is coming from the battery.

You do not need to install the new board, the old board will work just fine. I did two PD4655L installs, one on my 2017 and one on my 2018 Airstream, and did not install the new board on either. I use the Wizard Pendant to switch the PD4655 into Boost mode and determine the mode based on the Pendant light. The new board basically only adds the Pendant's functionality.

I was wondering if I could do that. I have the lithium charger, so my understanding is the charge wizard doesn’t work anyways and it outputs a continuous 14.6 V. I recently upgraded to lithium batteries and that was the point of changing out my converter. The only concern I would have is whether the old board is set up to handle the new voltage. The new board also came preinstalled with 30 amp fuses. Do I need to replace the old 40 amp fuses from the current circuit board? Not sure why they would be different. I also find it odd that I cannot find pictures of that specific circuit board anywhere online. Even the WFCO website has a different picture for that model. I have a 2019 23CB. Thanks

I would leave the old board as is with the 40A fuses. And yes since you are using the Lithium setting (jumper) there's no point in having the charge wizard pendant or new board with the switch and light.
