King Size Bed!

Well.....the wife didn’t care for the twin beds in our 2020 GT 25FB, so I converted it to a King. I know this has been done before, but I just wanted to share. We love it! I removed the drawer/night stand and used 6-8ft 1x6’s to bridge the gap. Bought a King size Tuff and Needle Mattress. My wife placed the extra cushions and pillows in the gaps on the side and end. Looks pretty good and extra comfy. The original TN twin mattresses were 8” thick. The king is 10”. Cost about $850 including the mattress/mattress cover and wood. The recepticals and USB ports are tucked behind the mattress and I will address what to do with them at a later date.

Wow! That bed is huge. Are you going to abandon the inside under-bed storage?

If so, you could remove the divider between the outside & inside storage on both sides and have two massive outside storage areas.

We’re “vertically challenged” so the twins work for us although I usually get the dog on my side

Was thinking of putting seldom used items on the interior side of the storage bins and use the new area under the middle for bottle waters, chairs, etc. So I probably won't remove the dividers.

McHenry, huh, Ive got some family in that town.
