Interesting tankless Hot Water activity

Hello all,

I was just outside wrapping some items up for the day, including the Airstream.

I’m in central NJ - outside temp at 32f.

When I went to power down and lock up, i noticed the vent for the tankless heater was running- pushing out somewhat warm air- but not nearly as much force or heat as when it is actually operating.

The trailer is winterized- blown out lines and antifreeze run through the water system.

I’m wondering if the tankless HW heater will cycle in some manner to keep things warm when the temps are at or below freezing? Everything else (including the furnace and heat pumps) were off.

Just something to take note of- the specially if your propane is running low- this tankless heater might be something to watch more closely!

Best-

Bill

I do know that my PrecisionTemp 500 series will keep itself warm in freezing weather if it has propane and power. It comes on at low heat and prevents freezing.

Same here, the 2021 23’ TFB , RV thermostat was shut down, the LP tanks were shut down, the RV was connected to the shore power. Curious why it would intermittently turn on and off.
Airstream technical support had a long wait but will try and contact again unless more explanations from other RVer’s solves this puzzle.
Thanks
