How do you like the Tuft & Needle beds?

The T&N beds have been available for a while now, how are they holding up and do you like them as much after using them as you did in the showroom? I'm getting started on an AS reno project and am thinking of replacing the old twin mattresses with the T&N. We retired this year and are planning a lot of time in the trailer, and a comfy mattress is at the top of our list.

Love them!

We moved up to the 2019 27’ GT Twin from a 2018 FC23FB and the difference is night and day. You can actually sleep all night either on your side or back without any discomfort. Highly recommend the Tuft & Needle mattresses!

Thanks for the input! We have gone to our local dealer and lounged on the twins in a GT 23FB and found them a definite upgrade from our old thin "horsehair and cotton" pads. My in-laws live 15 minutes from Jackson Center and we can pick up the custom T&N twins when we visit.

We love our T&N twins. A night and day difference over stock. We chose the thicker Mint models but even the lower cost originals would have been okay.

Tuft & Needle has a few storefronts but for the most part they ship it to you and you try it out. If you don’t like it you either donate it to a non-profit or they’ll have someone pick it up. They give you a full refund.

Because these are multilayer foam mattresses covered in fabric and quilting, you can open the seams and trim them down with an electric knife if your AS has unusual dimensions. We had to do that for the curved portion of our twins in our FC25. We wanted the full width of a normal XL twin so we installed wider plywood under the bed. That meant we didn't have to trim the width. Otherwise, you would need to do that trimming.

One last thing, the customer service at T&N is truly extraordinary. They are trying to disrupt the mattress industry by acting more like a hungry startup (which they are.) Real human beings in the US answer the phone and really go the extra mile.

We love ours. It’s more comfortable than our home mattress

Tuft & Needle has partnered with Lowe's in our area and original stock sizes can be had there. They do not supply the Mint. I am renovating a 19' Safari which is too narrow to accomodate the 39" x 80" stock T&N twins, so I am looking at the Airstream custom 34" x 80" twins which will still give me room to add a bedside console in the middle, just like the new GT 23FBTwin. It is good to know these mattresses can be trimmed. If Jackson Center is way out of line on price compared to Lowe's, I may trim up the standard twin myself.

We also love our Tuft & Needle mattress so much, we bought one for our home too!! We are both in our 60's & waking up with aches & pains is the norm but not anymore!! We also upgraded our home mattress to The Mint model & found it just as comfortable as the one in our Globetrotter!! We have recommended them to our friends for at home or in their Airstreams too.

Mattress Thickness

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me the thickness of the T&N mattresses that come with the 2020 25 Globetrotter Twin? From what I have read, I understand that they do not come with sheets and we would like to pre-order a set and want to be sure that we get the right thickness.

Thanks in advance

Steve

It’s not the question you asked but we love our RV Superbags instead of normal bedding. You can make the bed in 5 seconds flat. They come in a collection of colors or you can do what we did and pick out the fabric locally sand send it to them. http://www.rvsuperbag.com

2021 GTFBT Mattress Thickness

Hi, if anyone has a 2021 GT FBT, are the mattresses still 8.5" thick? Our dealer told us the depth was 7.5".

I would like to purchase the sheets, but want to be sure to get the right sheet depth. Thank you!

We have a 2021 27FBT on order for a October delivery. We were told the options are 8.5in or 6.5in and the standard install is 6.5in.

For those that have successfully ordered/received units in the past OR already taken delivery of a 2021 GT...Since we don’t have a VIN number yet, how do we confirm the exact thickness of the mattresses that will be in our unit?

Thanks...
