Call Airstream customer service and talk to a live person. With your VIN, they will tell you if it has made it to production. They can tell you if it has been released from production.
If you want more granularity, talk to your sales person who can get more info from his sales rep.
Just an update to this thread. After a few weeks of patiently enduring radio silence, I called Airstream technical support and asked for a production status update. The kind customer service representative was able to tell me that my trailer had exited the production queue and was now awaiting transport to my selling dealer. That's the extent of his ability to track my trailer, but at least it let's me know that things have started to move again.
