GT 23': Where'd it go?
Hey all,
I was poking around on the AS site, and saw the price had increased under the Globetrotter tab. Thinking they just raised prices again, I took a look and to my surprise, the GT 23' FBQ and FBT were removed from the floorplan lineup. Now, only the 25, 27, and 30' models remain, which is why the base price "increased".
My question is, is this just an error on their part, or are they indeed discontinuing the GT 23'?

Holy moly! No more 23' twin Airstream? I guess they want to push folks up to either the FC 25 twin or GT 25' twin now?
The 2020 or newer GT 23FBT was high on our list of potential next trailers. I guess we'll only be looking for used GT 23' twins from now on!

Yeah I saw it yesterday, and all traces of the GT 23', except for the promo banner images, have been removed from the AS site. The specs page, everything.
This reminds me of the phase-out of the 23CB FC this past year...

I think the base MSRPs are up for all models. The new International 23FB base is over $100K. I don’t think that was the case when I bought mine in 2020.

So not all 23' are being cancelled, just the GT's. Any idea why?

Globetrotter 23FBT
We too ordered a Globetrotter 23FBT on a Tuesday and was notified on Friday afternoon that they are discontinuing them. We ended up ordering an International 23FBT. We really wanted the Globetrotter but the International has a fresh look and we like it even though we prefer the Globetrotter. We were told that they are adding the Twin bed option to the International and Flying Cloud 23FB.
We currently have an International 25RBQ that we are selling. We are retiring later this year and downsizing.

Sorry to hear about people getting their orders canceled, especially those who have been waiting a long time.
We have (and really like) the GT 23', but after a lot of time researching during the shopping process - I'm still not that clear on the main differences between GT and International. One issue with the compare tool on the AS site is it lists 100 items in columns but there's no highlighting what is actually different. Both models are extremely nice fit and finish. The cabinetry is different, the GT maybe more attractive, but we have had an issue with the curved flip-up doors on gas hinges -- maybe International design is more durable (sliding cabinet doors don't have hinges?).

Seriously? Did your dealer tell you this? That would be amazing! We always said it would be great if either the GT23FBT or FC25FBT came in an FC23FBT. Less expensive and less power options, which we prefer, but you just miss the slightly nicer finishes of the GT.

Call me weird, but the one striking difference for me is those semi-transparent (?) cabinet doors. I like that they slide but for some stupid reason I hate that you can see all your crap crammed into all of your upper cabinets all the time. Drives me batty. I’m weird though.

Yes I can confirm that my dealer said they are adding the twin bed option to the International and Flying Cloud.
If you look at the Airstream site then click on floorplans under the International line you will notice at the top it says International Floorplans and in smaller print below that it says browse all 12 options but when you scroll down the floorplans they only show 11 options so I’m assuming they are working on adding the twins to the 23FB.
We ordered our International 23FBT yesterday. It’s going to be a long year waiting for it. The good news is that it gives us time to sell our 2016 25RBQ International. Anyone looking for a well cared for 2016 International Serenity 25RBQ?
There are some differences between the Globetrotter and International but not many. The International does not have the electric jacks. It also doesn’t have the little cubbies behind the dinette or next to the range.
I’m not crazy about the dinette on the International but we will live with it. We don’t spend a lot of time in our Airstream. We mainly sleep/shower and do dishes.

***The International has a powered hitch jack. As all do over 20'.

Our mint 2020 GT23Q might still be for sale at Midtown RV in Penticton BC. Call Harvey. (We went to a 2021 GT25T)

**I’m sorry I meant the electric stabilizer jacks underneath. Not the jack in the front**

Thanks for the tip! I don't see any used Airstreams listed on their website but I'll reach out to them and ask.

I agree. My first AS was a 19'FC, then I moved up to a 23' Int'l CB "Ocean Breeze" with the transparent sliding doors. I really hate seeing all the stuff in the cabinets! And the one overhead cabinet in the CB, you can barely fit something like a backpack through the opening.
Anyway, I'm with you on seeing all the stuff!
