Question Globetrotter or Flying Cloud

I've decided to get the 2021 Airstream 27FBQ. What I can't decide is whether to get the Globetrotter (nicer interior) or Flying Cloud (with rear hatch). I just think the rear hatch is so cool, but the Globetrotter really has those nicer features inside. Which one should I go with? Globetrotter or the Flying Cloud w/ rear hatch.

Both are nice. We went for the Globetrotter for the interior with the split table. The hatch is cool but would see very few opportunities fir us to use it here in Florida. It is a help for those wishing to haul bulky items I guess. I was also concerned about the hatch as an opportunity for leaks.

I am sure you would be happy with either choice.

We went down the middle and ordered the International with the hatch, we loved the interior colors and design of the international line, and the option for the hatch. One of our frequent campgrounds backs up to a wooded stream, so we can't wait to try out the hatch. We don't have it yet, so I can only comment on our thoughts! Good luck with your decision - you can't go wrong!

We went with the 27 International with the hatch. A bit of an upgrade over the Flying Cloud interior but still able to get the hatch. The hatch was definitely an upgraded I felt I had to have when I saw one at the dealer. Hopefully we will take delivery late April.

I also went with the international, the first time! I like the finishing in the Int. More than the glob. Backlit upper cabinets, faux wood floor... not sure about the rear hatch, I go both ways on that. Not sure how often it would get used. It isn’t a Panamerica.

Let me add... we now have a 2021 FC Bunk...needed the bunk and it’s only available in a FC. It’s still a nicely finished AS, though doing everything I can to bring it back close to an Int. Corian counters, backlit cabinets etc.

I love the FC's but we wished they had not dropped the curved cabinet doors.

The stove is MUCH nicer on the FC and sucks on the GT.

The GT throws in a LOT of extras.

Just figure out wether they are worth it to you.

We decided since we were not getting any younger that they worked for us.

Thanks for all the replies! I went with the Flying Cloud for the hatch and figured I could upgrade the countertops and a few other features on my own after some natural wear and tear for much less than the price difference of the International.

I think you will be happy. That hatch is a neat idea. If the formica on the FC is like my FC a sanding block with 320 gently on the edges to round will be in order. Formica lasts forever so you are good to go.
