I wanted to publicly thank Jeffmc306 for his offline advice on upgrading my TV to a Ram 2500 while I await my GT. I made the mistake of buying the original TV (1500 RAM) before I picked out my AS. Going thru the calcs on www.changingears.com I got VERY nervous about the 1500. As my AS dealer said when I asked his opinion, "about any vehicle could "pull" my AS, but you need to consider stopping capability, evasive maneuvering, other hairy situations, etc."
Maybe this will save others from making the mistake I did.

Update! If anyone wants to follow along on Instagram, a bit easier for us to stay connected and add photos: https://instagram.com/airdrie_airstr...d=t8e5obi5g6m9
What a wonderful way to spend a vacation! Spent a few days at Lake Manatee SP to really get acclimated to the new digs.
I really keep looking for issues to arise from transporting or defects/use but it just keeps giving. After scooting around for a few hundred miles we are settled in at Lake Louisa SP. Also happy to report that the F150 tows the potato really well. I added a photo, taken by my wife, while cruising steady over 100 miles at 65mph. This was a large purchase but after tenting, class c MH,this is for us!

Living vicariously through all of you South of the Mason Dixon. I want to take mine out for some boondocking but don't want to tow her from the driveway until they stop pouring salt on our roads. We are quite some ways from retirement but I have summers off (teacher) and we hope to put some miles on when weather permits. Keep posting Downhill so that the wife & I can envision ourselves at these places whilst our "Silver Tuna" awaits to awake from its hibernation.

Great to have you following along! Just left Rodman State Park
Had to stop for a as little fill up.
Short drive East to Anastasia State Park for a few days. Made a small adjustment to the Firestone airbags to allow a little bit more weight to be distributed to the front axle, truck it is doing extremely well.

That is awesome, making the rest of us in the frozen Midwest extremely envious!
From the photos I'm guessing it's everything you thought it would be and maybe a little more?

Thanks and overall the Globetrotter has been wonderful! It’s not all roses, as with any rv, there can be issues and we did run into one with our table not having proper length hardware installed. I suggest anyone with this style pedestal table if you’re experiencing any looseness to go ahead and pull it apart to inspect for yourself but either way a quick trip to Home Depot and about five dollars later all is well!

Downhill, that’s crazy. Do you think they welded the mount too deep in the leg making the screws too short? I’m going to check ours when I can get into it next.
What prompted you to check yours? Did it come loose when you lifted up the top?

The fixture is welded correctly they just didn’t use long enough hardware. We were eating dinner and noticed that there was vertical movement when setting weight near the ends of the table top with the pedestal ram quick releases tight. I knew it had to be an issue between the table mounting plate and the pedal. I posted a photo showing the short original fastener next to the correct longer fastener.

Great pics! Glad to see your GT out and about. We are ready to head to Jonathan Dickinson, Anastasia, Manatee, and Fort Desoto for the next four weeks. Our table seems solid, but some more miles and use might make a difference. I may drop it down a little for travel, but keep the edges off of the cushions below. Maybe that will reduce the torque on those screws. I’ll post a pic or two here. We have two nights where I couldn’t get a reservation. Will be winging it for those.
I was wondering about winterizing on the way back. It’ll be mid March, maybe we can dodge that bullet.
Thx
Jeff
