Gas leak from propane tank pigtail

When changing the tanks I noticed leaks from the hoses that connect the propane tanks to the regulator. The leaks are small and both hoses have multiple cracks and appear to suffer from dry rot. Surprising on a 3 year old gas line.

Not a surprise, but perhaps a little early. I have replaced the pigtails on our trailer 3-4 times. Our later replacements have had stainless steel braid on the outside. Most of the leaks we have had are at the terminations, so who knows if the SS braid does anything.

Nope, not that surprising. The rubber goes bad quickly in the desert around here due to ozone and UV exposure. Buy stainless steel ones...
