I feel like the multi-stage auto-detecting power converter is the best upgrade of any. If you wanted lithium before, you would have to pay like, $5-6,000 (including batteries) for the dealer to change the insides so it would work. Is this for all airstreams now? I hope?

Changes to the 2023 Globetrotter

As stated on this thread they will probably use the up the stock of Domestic units they have before switching over.

Our 2022 Flying Cloud that came off the factory like 5/31/22 has a Furrion stove and oven. FWIW.
We really like it. We had a cramped Dometic stove/sink combo that was slow to light and too tight for realistically having two pots/pans at a time in our old trailer. So we are happy with the change.

Glad to hear. Can you post a picture of the new Furrion?

Dinette
For the GT27’ (and25’), has the dinette changed? On the website, I see both the 2 piece dinette that converts to wrap around seating (and wobbly post) and a single piece table and a “stout” support. I like the wrap around seating, not not the wobbly support.

I believe the difference you are seeing is whether or not the rear hatch was ordered.

I thought the rear hatch was only on FC and INT. Still confused.

You are correct about the hatch. I just saw the 27 & 25 lengths and didn't pay attention to the GT qualifier.
Sorry about that.
If you are referring to the Globetrotter gallery on the the AS site, the pictures are not of a specific model but all models. It looks like the single post is for the 25/27' trailers and wrap around seating with the 2 posts is for the extinct 23' trailer

I think I have 3 images to upload from the same features page for Globetrotter. One is the image of the player for the 2 piece table for wrap around seating or sleeper with 2 supports (I have seen wobbly). Two are a one piece table with the stout support.
You can tell by the wood behind the curb side cushion that this is a Globetrotter and not FC or INT.
I’m just confused.

The photos showing one support are photos that have been on the site for years. The gallery photos for the 27’ shows the split table with 2 posts. Our new 27’ FBQ is due to be delivered in October. I’ll let you know what table configuration we get.
Regarding the other changes, I’m not sad about the mattress change. We tried out the tuft and needle in the store and found it to be way to soft.

Globetrotter 27' FBT??
Sorry if this has been discussed in postings under another Topic.
Looking at the Airstream website, Floor Plans, Configurations, and Brochure for the 2023 Globetrotter 27', it appears they are no longer offering a Front Bedroom Twin configuration.
Is that true?
Thanks.
Cheers,

It's just a no-cost option to select on the Options tab when configuring the trailer.

When I Configure a GT 27, the only Floorplan available is the FBQ. It doesn't show the FBT as an option.

Go all the way through the customization click-though. It's a zero-dollar option.

Right, ok, that does work. Thank you. The FB Twin shows up as an Option.
Odd, however, that they no longer show it in the Floorplans tab/link.
Cheers,

OK so I took delivery of my 2023 27' GT. Here are some differences I can confirm:
- The bathroom and shower small fans are now made by Maxxair
- The window shades are still the Domestic Oceanair
- The oven / cooktop is still the Domestic model however I believe that they will change that out once old stock is used up
- The black and grey tank valves are now external - which means getting to them to clear out a stuck valve is easier. This may make it less winter friendly as they might be more susceptible to freezing but much easier to service the parts.
- There is no longer a DVD player and it does have a HDMI port that goes to both TVs. The HDMI splitter is powered by 110v so you need the inverter on to use it.
- The televisions are 12v models so no inverter needed. They are not smart TVs but to have an additional HDMI port for streaming devices. I did plug in my Apple TV in the overhead bin where the stereo is and the splitter works fine. The TV does have return audio support on one of the HDMI ports so it may be possible to pipe the audio through to the Fusion stereo without too much difficulty.
- There are 3 rigid 100w solar panels and they seem to be working very well. I left my refrigerator on after my last trip. I came back to the rig and after a week and the batteries were 100%. I did upgrade to 2 100ah Lithium batteries and I think I could easily boondock for a week with this setup with a little power conservation. I tried this again for another week and also left the light on in the bathroom - this time and even with a couple of cloudy days I only lost 13% of the total charge. Very encouraging and I am happy with the lithium upgrade.
I am sure I am forgetting a few things but I will update them as they come to mind. Overall we love the trailer. I'll also make another post with the few issues we had upon delivery but spoiler alert - they were nothing very serious.

Excellent write up. Thank you.
When you say you upgraded to Lithium batteries does that mean it came with AGM or other batteries installed? If so, I was under the impression '23s didn't come with batteries.
Did the Lithiums drop-in or did you have to change the converter or other components?

The new Airstreams don't come with any batteries - you decide at the dealership which type you want. I picked 2 100A heated Battleborn GC batteries and the Victron SmartShunt which all fit in the stock battery box. I must say that with the 300 watts of solar I can run the 12v fridge indefinitely while it's in storage - at least for the short time I have had the rig. I may not do this long term but if I am only leaving to for a week or two between trips I leave the fridge on and I have never seen the batteries go below 82% when I check.
I always thought I would be doing the extreme $20k+ upgrade to the 800-900 AH battery bank and 3000W inverter but with this current setup I believe can realistically boondock / dry camp easily for a week or so if I am not under tree canopy. Add a small / medium generator and power no longer becomes a limiting factor. I think this setup will table any plans I had for the over the top lithium setup for now until I get more time with the system as it is. I am very happy with this setup.

This and That from a Newbie:
I visited the Mothership factory tour yesterday and noted some units have a Coleman A/C instead of the Dometic. I have a 25FBT on order with a late November off-line date. The Dometic unit is much more aesthetically pleasing. Tour guide stated a supplier issue.
The 2023 dinette configuration has conflicting photos. Some show the 2 post configuration and some the new single post with 2 adjustable collars my preferred choice). Which one is it?
Also some literature states the GT still has a 6/9 gallon HW tank and some state the new tankless unit. Any confirmation on which one?
I am sure I will have more newbie questions to ask as I transition from a Lance TT to my new AS
