Bedspread

Ok, so the off-white bedspread that came in our ‘19 27GT Q is filthy from simply walking around it. It also weighs a ton, too heavy to sleep under except for really cold nights. I want to ditch it, hubs want to keep it. I’m wondering what the average dry cleaning bill has been for those who have gone to that trouble.

PamK53, we carry the bedspreads and put them on if we’re having guests otherwise they’re stowed. We use twin blankets for normal sleeping.

They really dress up the Globetrotter for showing it off but are not very practical.

How do you like your GT overall?

We don't have a GT, but when we bought our AS, we removed and stored the factory comforter and throw pillows. Replaced with more colorful pillows and washable bedspread. When we sell or trade the AS at some later date, the factory pieces will go back on as new. Dry cleaning our home comforters run about $35, and that's California (high) prices.

Thanks! We’re adjusting to it. We’ve been parked since we sold our 37’ Newmar in October and bought this. Our Newmar had all the bells and whistles... all electric, fireplace, washer/dryer, residential fridge. So, big change. We’ve been traveling since ‘16, and now we’re ready to put down some roots. So downsizing made sense. We’ll be pulling it for the first time in a couple days as we head out of the blast furnace that is AZ right now, heading north to Oregon. I think I will have the spread and at least some of the pillows cleaned then store them for resale. AB Lifestyles had some nice quilts. May go in that direction.
Thanks for your comments!
