Aspiring GT27 owner

My wife and I are considering the Globetrotter 27FB twin. I do lots of exploring as I make these decisions- I am sold and my wife is coming along. Simple question- I have looked at tons of pictures, where is/are the 110 outlet in the bedroom of the GT 27FB twin?
I hope ya'll can be patient with me if I ask a lot of questions. My timeframe to order is this Fall as I get some things settled, including a truck.

There are two 110V receptacles in a 27GT FBT. The ones in our 23GT on either side of the nightstand, so I would guess that’s where they are on a 27.

The schematic in the online Owners Manual shows them approximately in that location.

Welcome to the forum. It's a great place to learn and share.

A 27' GT is a nice unit. We enjoy ours a lot. Regarding searching I suggest you consider used units as well. One advantage is immediate availability and secondly, they usually have the bugs worked out.

In answer to your question the 110 outlet is on the sides of the nightstand that is between the twin beds.

Best wishes and happy hunting!

There is also an inverter outlet behind the TV location, and there are low-power USB ports next to the bedside table outlets (1 AC outlet, 1 pair of USB outlets on each sides of the nightstand).

Outlet locations on our 2020 Globetrotter 27FBT.

Regular AC outlet locations that require shore power
———————————-
* street side nightstand on the side of nightstand
* curb side nightstand in the side of nightstand
* bathroom counter
* kitchen counter
* center wall rear under dinette table
* one outside curb side between rear door and curb side storage.

Inverter single plug- work on shore power or inverter power. If shore power it just works. If inverter on, regardless of shore power, it switches to inverter. This is why theses outlets are single plug.
——————————
* one near bedroom TV
* one near living area TV

USB A dual outlets that run off coach batteries
——————————
* street side nightstand stand
* curb side night stand
* recessed storage above living room TV
* just inside rear door left side wall on dinette seat back.

Does anyone have any photos of the usb ports on the side of the bedroom table?

I am considering upgrading them to be able to charge a laptop, but I need to know what they look like in order to plan for the upgrade (my trailer is being built as we speak).

Foobar, here ya go. This is from our 2019 27’ Globetrotter; I doubt they’ve changed. There’s one on each side of the night stand.

By the way, there’s not much space between the ports and the mattress. I had to lift if up to snap the photo. It would be much more convenient if they were tilt or pop-ups on top of the nightstand instead of on the side.

Hope that helps!

And some more photos…

So you got me thinking, could you add/relocate the USB and even the AC receptacle to the top of the night stand?

There’s plenty of space between the drawer and the back of the top. The USB device is connected with WAGO lever lock connectors. The AC receptacle is a Legrand is self enclosed.

I’m going to look for some surface mount devices.

Thanks jeffmc306!

The location of these outlets will be a pain for two cpap machines and a couple of cell phones that have to run/charge respectively every night. The mattress and bedding will put a lot of strain on the plugs. USB ports are not very robust and will probably break pretty quickly.

I will probably leave these locations alone so I don't have to deal with plugged holes in the woodwork and simply add some additional 120v and USB charging receptacles to the top surface behind the drawer.

Will do. Right now I'm just trying to plan ahead as my airestream is being manufactured right now. I'll come up with a final plan once I actually have the airstream, lol.

I find that the devices I use on the bedstand just stay there and I rarely need to plug or un-plug anything. I did run in my 2021 ex-23GTT an extension cord to my Apple TV device in the evening (there is only one telly in the 23GT - the bedroom, but I always unplugged it when not in use. With my new 2023 27GT the Apple device fits in the shelf above the lounge with a double 110 AC outlet there.

I bought a couple USB 90 degree adapters with pigtails. Two right turn and two left turn. Much easier to plug in phones and our little fans, no mattress induced stress on the connector.
