Anyone got a 2021 Globetrotter yet?

Hello everyone,

did anyone pick up or took delivery of a 2021 Globetrotter model?
If sp, what are the first thoughts/impressions, especially around the potential changes (fridge, water heater, rear dinette, etc.)?

Cheers,
Chris

Following. We ordered a 2021 GT 27 that should be ready early August. We haven't heard confirmation of any changes from our original spec sheet but have heard rumors of compressor fridge, composite floor, and on demand hot water.

Welcome to the forum and make sure you post pictures when you get your GT! And do please confirm the changes!

All the best!

I stopped by a dealership in MN today and was told that 2 changes in 2021 for the globetrotter are a new composite floor with zero wood and a tankless water heater.

2021 Model changes

My delivery date is still late July/ early August but I had a nice talk with our salesperson about the changes for the 2021 model year on our 27 GT. She confirmed the composite floor and the on demand propane hot water system. She also added that the fridge will be an ac/dc compressor unit which we were happy to hear. Finally, she added that the table will be a split dinette with several different positions similar to the 26U and an upgrade for the inverter for 2021! Looks like the wait will be worth it.

BTW our sales person Eneida at Airstream of Tampa has been magnificent. She has been one step ahead for our entire transaction and has excellent product knowledge. Patrick has some real competition. We highly recommend Eneida!

Coming as a dealer installed option later in the summer. If you order without solar it doesn't come with batteries, dealer will install whatever you prefer as a dealer direct purchase. With solar it comes with AGM from the factory..

Thanks Island Timer!!

Nice to see a first picture what it will look like...it looks like you can just bring half of the table in the lower position to form this nice u-shaped seating area and also the bed will be supported somehow differently I guess with no posts there anymore...
Really interesting to see, especially as Airstream still didn't announce anything official (to my knowledge) on the 2021 GTs...

Excited about that new dinette!
Our 2021 Globetrotter FB Twin is scheduled to exit the factory on 7/14. Will share info and pictures when it arrives at our dealer.

Yesterday I heard from our salesperson that there is an issue with delivery of the mattresses. Supplier to Airstream not delivering due to Covid 19 problems at mattress factory.

I don't understand what I'm seeing in this picture. And how is the table split?

And additional insight into this new feature would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Colonial Airstream has some pictures. It looks like under dinette drawers pull toward each other to form support for seat.

Thanks Ron. That was a helpful suggestion. So it looks like it is two separate tables on two pedestals. Interesting.

Our 2021 GT30RBQ arrived at our dealer last week, but with no mattress. Apparently, there have been a few supplier issues during production. So, the mattress is being sent directly to the dealer and will be ready for pickup in the next week or so.

The changes we've been told are the new tankless water heater, composite flooring and Victron solar charge controller.

Theyíre a Norcold compressor refrigerator like this one.

Much more efficient than absorption units, donít care if the trailer isnít level and draw under 6 amps. All you need is some solar to boondock with it. Otherwise, if youíre on shore power itís like a residential unit.

Iíd trade my 3-way for one in a heartbeat.
