Hi Randy,
We have a 2020 23 Twin. Which model are you getting? Twin or queen?

Excellent orientation via Colonial AS (if that is your dealer). We found no faults. Fit and finish were/are excellent. My only recommendation is to check that you can access the water pump which is under the roadside closet. Access meaning the closet is narrow.

The other item to look at is access to the water heater winterizing valve. For us, it’s under the curbside bed and short wardrobe closet. Tough to reach. Colonial had to cut a 4in hole in the storage cabinet.

When is delivery?

Congrats. When do you expect to get and just curious which interior color choice you ordered?

Eagletoo,
Good info. Plan to order my GT23 twin (London gray) this December. Keep the “hacks” coming.

Mercerme,
I removed the 3 stock hooks at the entrance and used the same screw holes to install this:
Umbra Flip 5 Wall Mounted Floating Rack – Modern, Sleek, Space-Saving Hanger with Retractable Hooks to Hang Coats, Scarves, Purses, Nickel/Nickel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ZJV8H4..._26KsFbVJFAXR7

I changed the LED switch in the bathroom to a dimmer. Also did the same to the LEDs over the galley counter. Big difference!

Convertible Dinette

For those of you who have the new convertible u dinette a few questions:

Do you find it useful?
Is it practical?
What is the trade off (downside) of this design?
Would you prefer the standard dinette?

And I’m curious if anyone knows if older GT’s (2018) could be converted?

Thanks!

We have a 2021 25' FBT GT. Your first 2 questions i find to be very subjective. So i'll just throw my anecdotal opinion at it. We really enjoy the new "U" dinette design. Now it's only my wife and I but, it makes sitting around the table and playing games more cozy. I like how the half table can rotate according to how you're sitting. The padded backing on the GT's is very comfortable. Just feels more "complete" to us. Downsides, can only use half of the full table, cushions block the 110v outlet in the front (easy enough to fish between the cushions) and the last is the storing of 1 post and half table top when not using the full dinette.

I agree with the comments by Warpath. My wife and I normally travel with the two of us and occasionally with one or two of our grandchildren. We plan on traveling with only one of the tables and posts when we travel alone. The only drawback that we've found is the table rotation when you don't want it. Our youngest grandson tends to want to push on the table when he climbs up. We ordered before seeing this change but really love this feature of the 2021.

2021 GT 25 FBT Weight

Have been looking everywhere and can not find the weight and tongue weight of a 2021 GT 25 FBT with 180 kw solar and 2 AC's . Has anyone gotten that configuration?

I would also be interested in the dry weight of this unit with this specific configuration. I imagine the max weight (GVWR) is still 7300# as listed in the brochures...

Thanks!
Joe

Brochure says 882 pounds, but it does not specify how the trailer is set up. Not sure how a second AC would impact it or solar. If you get lithium batteries with solar that would change things also. I suspect the 882 will be a ballpark number, and from what I’ve read, it is probably low. Most folks here will recommend going to a CAT scale once you’ve picked up your trailer. I have a 2020 25’ GT twin, I’ve never actually taken it to a scale. I just figure it’s around 1,000 lbs.

Mine came in last Friday..have not taken delivery but made a first pass ( thanks to a Forum 7 page checklist) and found just a couple of minor issues. More at delivery. The dry weight with solar , 2 ACs and 50 amp was 6231 vice the ave 6074. The 7300 GVWR remains the same. Have not weighed tongue weight. I thought AS determined Tongue weight at the factory but it was nowhere to be found and no one at the dealership knew about that. I imagine it will be higher than the 882 in the brochure. Will weight myself as soon as I take delivery.

Stella d'argento came in (finally)

Now that I had started this thread, I just wanted to give an update, that our Stella finally came in after several month waiting time!

After the first long weekend, we are super happy and still excited to have her and even though we had some minor incidents (e.g. fridge door doesn't lock properly and swings open when driving ) it is still a pleasure taking her out...

Also got a pretty nice and neat solar installation done, that's why everything took even longer than anticipated...

Just thought I am sharing this here

Happy camping!
Thanks for all the (ongoing) support!
Cheers,
Chris

Who did the solar install? Where is that location in the trailer? Is that a cellular modem next to it?

It is in the nudge of the closet kind of perfectly fitting in there and yes that is a cellular router and amplifier (in the picture not yet connected to the external 5-way antenna on the roof).

All done by Boundless-Powersystems in Mount Vernon, OH.

Nudge of the closet? Where are the batteries located?

There is a nudge (sorry don’t know a better word for that) on the inside left of the closet where it basically widens up like 5inch but the closet door is narrower than that, hence it is like covered/hidden when you open the closet.
Two lithiums are located right under the bench in the rear dinette area closest to the fridge, so basically nearly above the rear axle.

Mine won’t be finished until April but I can say from years of RV experience is to make a checklist of things you need to do before you move.
