Adding an outlet

We travel with three Dalmatians, and all of their hair. A Dyson works great, but I would like to able to wall mount it and charge it in the wardrobe. Has anyone found a straightforward way to add a power outlet in the wardrobe of a Globetrotter 27FBQ? Thanks for any suggestions.

Not sure what a 27FBQ is, but I have a 27 FB. The fridge, to the left of the wardrobe, has a 120 volt outlet that is accessed via the exterior door. You could tap into that and run a short wire to a outlet in the wardrobe.

I’ve done it several times for customers. A shallow box will fit in the gap between the wardrobe and shower.

I wired mine directly to the circuit breakers since they are right near the wardrobe in the 27FB. Used a hole saw to put a hole in the bottom of the wardrobe (left side near front) for a run of liquitite conduit to a surface mount box that accepts the liquitite fitting. I used a receptacle that also has USB charging ports so I can charge USB devices in the closet too. I too was driven by the need to hang a Dyson in there. Very cheap and easy project.

I love this idea. Limited electrical knowledge here; Architects generally stay the hell away from anything that sparks. I researched the fittings, but can you snap a few photos (or describe?) What your connections looked like to the breaker panel? Thank you so much.

The camper is in storage currently, but I picked up everything I needed at Lowes. Receptacle, cover plate, plastic surface mount box that accepts liquatite fitting, luiquatite fitting to box, luiquatite conduit, Luiquatite fitting where it meets the floor of closet, 12-2 wire. I used the breaker for the bedroom area receptacles as the other ones in the camper already see more draw because of the devices I use them for. You have to remove the breaker panel from where it is mounted to access it, but it's very straight forward. Just be sure that all power sources are disconnected first. I landed the wires where the wire to the bedroom receptacles is landed. If I could change one thing I would make sure to run the conduit straight down from the receptacle, mine is two inches to the side (in the front left corner) and that makes it look crooked. I am happy to be able to charge the Dyson, laptops or anything else out of sight keeping clutter to a minimum.

27FBQ is a 27 foot front bedroom queen.
