A/C not blowing cold

2020 gtfb 23. A/C with micro-Air easy start. We are at a Harvest Host brewery plugged into a 110 30 amp and the fan will run but no cold air. What should I check?

It sounds like the compressor is running but the air coming out is cool not cold. Thermostat set at 66 and out door temp is high 80’s.

Unless you have tools etc about the only thing I could recommend at this point is make sure the coils on the roof are clean and your filters are clean. Otherwise it might be time to call a tech. Maybe cycle power for giggles and grins but I doubt that will do anything.

I'm fighting at least a similar fight myself right now. Installed the EasyStart a few months ago, and in the testing done immediately afterwards, everything performed perfectly. Now, a couple of months later, when I really need the cool air, my compressor will kick in as it should, but it only runs for about 2 minutes and stops abruptly. Yours may be doing something similar. Make sure that the compressor is actually running. All you need is a philips screwdriver and a ladder to get on your roof. If you can take the shroud off of the AC, you will be able to put a hand on the compressor and confirm that it is actually running, and you can also observe the EasyStart. If it is causing the compressor to stop running, there are diagnostic LEDs that will light up to give you a clue as to what is happening.

Reminder: clean your intake ceiling-mounted air filters.

If you have not popped off your filter covers (2 rectangular screens mounted in the ceiling below each AC unit - for ducted systems) and cleaned your foam intake filters recently, you should start there.

You would be amazed at how quickly they get full of dust and restrict airflow / reduce cooling efficiency. Common maintenance issue. Takes < 5 minutes to correct.

1st off - a year old , or less --- take in for warranty .

Not that I would say to stay away for learning [ most do not want to bother - many of those can't ] , but these are 2 separate subjects to learn +++ buying tool needed to work on both .

Isn’t it a “no-no” to use your A/C on a 110 line? Doesn’t it greatly shorten the life of the compressor? I’ve read this in Blue Beret. The AS techs at JC have told me this. People around campfires have told me this. Does the EZ Start negate that advice?

The A/C is rated for 120VAC which is the US standard house voltage. It would be unusual to find 110VAC in 2021 but could happen. The A/C would probably still run but would draw more currrent.

After 5 years we lost our Dometic AC. Blowing but not cold. Talked with JC. Either a control board or compressor. The first of which is the only thing you can replace without replacing whole unit because it is "sealed". Cha Ching. $2k total but shipped overnight and with install.

Where are you plugged in? Camp grounds infrastructure has so deteriorated that its possible you are not getting 120V during the start phase because of all the other ACs running upstream from yours.

I would definitely power down the whole trailer, disconnect for 5 minutes, cycle the breaker 2 or 3 times to disturb the corrosion, plug in, power on and switch only the AC on, all other breakers off. See what happens.

This is 120v 30 amp the most the OPs trailer was designed to use. What your not supposed to use the A/C on is 15 amp 120v.

I believe that it is really 120VAC. Unfortunately millions of people insist on saying the antiquated 110 volt which hasn't been the standard for many decades.

I had a similar condition with my 2021 Dometic. Blows warm or a little cold. Compressor cycles too quickly. Dealer
found a foam strip that separates the air intake with the air output chamber was too short allowing the air to blend inside. He installed a longer piece of foam which separated the chambers which corrected the condition.
