25 GT FB - Hard Wired EMS Position

Hello Airstreamers and Happy Easter/Passover.

I was wondering if anyone has installed a hard wired surge protector/EMS in the 25 GTFB. I hope to learn from someone's experience before I embarked on this project. I'm using the 30A Progressive Industries unit so if you've installed one of these, all the better. Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Globetrotter 25FB EMS/Surge Protector

No responses to my original post so I'm gathering that no-one with a 25FB GT has installed a hard wired surge protector in in this model. I've been looking over options and there is a small curved cubby under the bed adjacent to the power panel. I'm thinking that this is the best spot. I will proceed and post the results here for those considering in the future.

If I were you I’d mount it behind the Service panel. I’m not sure about the 25 GT but on everyone I’ve ever install (and that’s been several) there was always plenty of space back there.
You do not need to access the part once install so out of site out of mind is my thought.

Progressive Industries Surge Protector/EMS Install 25FB GT

I ended up installing the 30A EMS adjacent to the converter behind the service panel. A tight squeeze but it fit and is out of the way. See the attached images.
