twin bed mattress toppers

We are looking to buy mattress toppers for our twin beds in the 27fb. I have found a couple of companies that sell these. Anyone had great success and loved their toppers?

There are other threads that will give more or similar experiences: we bought a king size topper of some thickness (2"? 3"?) and laid it out on the garage floor for a day before placing the mattresses on top to outline. Used an electric carving knife to make the cuts. Worked great, and reasonable cost.

I bought my trailer used and the original mattress had been replaced with one of low quality. I therefore purchased a custom made mattress that I like very much. That said, I thought Airstream factory mattresses were good quality units and well thought of. If that's true, why are people needing mattress toppers on new trailers?

We purchased these (https://airstreamsupplycompany.com/p...attress-topper) from Airstream Supply. They are well made and we find them to be very comfortable.

Some people have specific needs in a mattress. A mattress that is too hard for one person is too soft for another, impossible to please everyone with the same thing. Well maybe an adjustable mattress, like Sleep Number.

I purchased mattress toppers from the Airstream Supply Store for my twin beds. While the beds that came with my 2019 AS were an improvement over what Airstream used in 2005 on my first AS, I still needed a little more comfort. The toppers have made all the difference in how well I sleep.

We have purchased 4” foam rubber toppers at Walmart. We may have ordered them online and picked them up at the store. I don’t recall. They are excellent.

Back in 2009 at the International Rally we purchased toppers for our twins as well as a king size for our bed at home. I do not remember the vendor's name but I recorded the purchases as Thermo Shield Mattress Cover-XL Twins and they were $40 each with the King $130. We still use them and have been very happy. I don't believe that vendor has been back for a long time.

The beds in our 88 Excella are better than just about any other bed I’ve ever slept in. We sleep out in the Airstream about half the time we are home because the beds are better.

I replaced the original mattresses with about the cheapest foam mattresses at IKEA. Those were two hard so I picked up a king 3” memory foam topper from Target. Now they are perfect. All had to be cut to fit using the old mattresses as a pattern.

I got my twin mattress toppers from www.ablifestyles.net/airstream-essentials.
I have been very pleased with them and I think that the price was reasonable.

American made and veteran owned

We have a queen topper which has been very good for us. We did not know until after we received it, but it turned out the company is located 20 miles from us in Evansville, IN.

I ordered on line the Tuft and Needle XL twin mattresses and took the mattresses to an upholstery place and had them cut rounded to accommodate the curve corners. Than the upholstery made a zip up cover around the twin beds to keep them in tact- very comfortable!

I just bought a Ghostbed memory foam topper - which will require some trimming with an electric meat knife - but I have high hopes for it. It is supposed to arrive today...
I will say the company is very slow about shipping (ordered this in early September or late August); I assume some supply chain problems so this may not be typical. But keep it in mind.

Argosy mattress was bit hard. So added 2inch topper from Big Lots ie very inexpensive. I bought 2 so could double if needed or use one on front couch and one on middle bed. I thought about cutting but found my fitted sheet pulls down perfectly. Also I fold in half when using half bed. I like the size and utility and ease to even roll up and put behind front couch back rest if not used. May want to try this way before trouble cutting which is hard to keep even or looks ragged.

We have FC 27FB queen and got a topper at Costco. Cut the square corners to round them to match the mattress. Makes for a very comfortable bed.
