We carry the Travel Berkey in the Tundra backseat on the passenger side secured with a seatbelt sitting on a towel with the spigot facing the door so we can get water if needed.. We use it at home on the kitchen counter since our water in Austin is overchlorinated, has flouride, and tastes bad without filtering.

We've had a Burkey for 4-5 years now and take it with us on trips. We have a travel size. It nests inside itself. We keep it in the sink when traveling usually with water in it. The weight keeps it stable in the sink.

Get the 2 white and two black filters. Takes a couple of hours for a gallon and a half of water to go through it. You could use pond water if you like! Fill it up in the morning and once at night. Use it for all cooking and coffee and to fill water bottles.

The black filters last longer than the white ones. The white ones with throw off a white powder in about a year and it is time to change. Not cheap, but a lot cheaper than bottled water. Water tastes great.

Burkeys will remove chlorine and all chemicals but will not remove minerals (which is good). When not traveling we bought the stand and use it all the time at home.

The black rubber ring on the bottom will mark light surfaces like the Corian of countertops. It comes off with scrubbing but be aware.

We love our Berkey! We travel full-time and never have to worry about “clean” drinking water. The Berkey (travel size) rides in the sink, or in the truck when towing. Our house plant “Pete the Podocarpus” rides in the sink when towing. Sometimes, he complains about sharing the sink with the Berkey, so that is why the Berkey rides in the truck. [emoji6]
