Torflex Lift on 19’ - No Can Do

I had planned to put a lift on my new 19’er only to find out it is VERY expensive to do. The issue is a propane gas line that interferes - as well as an issue with the shocks. To make the accommodations it would cost over $600 - if not more. Too much to pay for 3 inches of extra clearance. I now have one set (not a tandem) Torflex #11 axle lift to sell if anyone is interested.

Contact Troutboy on the forum he did it on his 23D and was able to work around the propane line. There should be no problem with the Shocks.

I installed the lift kit on our 19' Bambi, and did not run into any issues involving the shock absorber.

I did have to disconnect the gas line so it would not pinch during the installation, but it was not complicated to re-install.

it was a lot of work mostly due to not having an impact wrench. otherwise it is pretty straightforward.

I did have to replace our single step with a double step.

this is a great upgrade, in my opinion.

Took my rig to a different RV mechanic. (One that I truly trust). He did a thorough inspection, and working around the propane lines, concluded he could do it. He was going to reinforce a part where he thought the metal was a bit thin for the added sideways torque - just as an added safety concern. Looks like I’m in business.
