Lake Owyhee State Park

I have a 19' Flying Cloud and live in Oregon. I was looking at Lake Owyhee State Park and the McCormack and/or Indian Creek campgrounds there. They apparently have hooks ups for such a remote area. However there seems to be some discussion regarding the steep road and its narrowness. Has anyone been there pulling their trailer? If so, what were your experiences entering the site?

It's been 20+ years since I have been there. My parents used to live in Wilder, ID. I would go explore around there looking for mountain bike trails. I didn't have a trailer, but I never had any trouble with my old 2-wheel drive Toyota pickup. I remember the main roads being good condition. Have fun, I think the spring would be the best time to go.

I am having phone problems...sorry if this is reposted.
Was there 5 yrs ago. 25 ft FC. No issues with narrow long curvey country access road. We pulled into park late at night in the middle of torrential rains...could hardly get the wiper to sweep fast enough. I was grateful for brilliant lightning flashes that let me see if the road was washed out or covered from slides along the steep canyon walls. Access isn't a problem. Have fun!

Owyhee park

You will have no trouble taking your trailer to either campground.

I live in Idaho so Iíve been there a lot. Beautiful place.
