Front bed on 2019 Flying Cloud RBQ?

Friends, I feel really dumb here. We were fortunate enough to buy an all-but-new 2019 Flying Cloud RBQ during COVID. Our state DMV was shut down … bottom line, we are finally a week away from our maiden voyage. My husband and I both grew up in Airstream families, but these beasties sure do seem a whole lot more complicated now! I had the idea that the front couch made into a double bed, so that the trailer would sleep six. We don’t need that capacity—I just want to get the right sheets. I worked with the couch setup quite a bit today, and just can’t get how it would make out into a double bed. If I am being dumb, would you please correct my idiocy? If it is a single bed only, we’d appreciate knowing. Thanks in advance … Got to buy linens.

There is a shelf that slides out from under the front cushions that will make into a double bed. Lift one of the front cushions and pull on the front lip under the cushion. It will slide out making a tray that the back cushions will lay on forming the bed. It's pretty easy and works well. I wouldn't sleep a heavy adult on that section - not sure how much weight it will hold but I'd limit it to a 150lb person.

It won’t be a double, it converts into an oversize twin, just like the dinette. Plan on sleeping four.

Thanks very much, tbrowne and Stewart! With your advice, we finally just now figured it out. With our trailer at least, the door to the compartment under the front couch has to be open before the shelf will slide. We really appreciate the advice.

Dinette turned into lounge

Here's a photo of our dinette in lounge/bed mode but without the slide out and no sheets! Probably could sleep three kids

You have a 30’ like mine. We modified the dinette and couch for more sleeping space…. Replaced bench with an eye too a of the couch with storage and removed the storage bin behind the backrest of the couch for a wider bed.
