Flying Cloud Office

One of the new members posted about their new 25RBT and it inspired me to look at the new layouts. I came across the FC 30 FB Office. Finally. I wonder what they did with all that stuff under the bunk though? Maybe the desk doesn’t have a bottom drawer or something, idk. So cool though.

I have the Bunkhouse. I’ve been thinking about converting to an office when the kids leave then I saw this, Colonial has a great video on it.

Oh yeah, Colonials video of the 2015 30 bunk is probably the reason I own an Airstream. It was the model I originally wanted and was interestingly the exact same price as my 25 when I bought it. I would have bought it, then realized there are mechanicals under the bunk so conversion would be difficult, especially for me at the time. But the 30 bunk was my first Airstream Love ❤️

It’s just the water heater under the bunk, the rest is storage. Interestingly, it looks in the video the Office may have kept the water heater in the same place

Oh, ok. I haven’t seen the video yet, will have to hunt it, would like to see it.

We’re planning to work FT from our Airstream so seriously considered this option. In the end we liked the Globetrotter layout/design a little better so stuck with that. But it’s VERY cool, and I hope to eventually see this option on more layouts.

Yeah, awesome video. I’d like one, but not so bad I’d pay the price for a new tow vehicle to haul it. Also, have never loved the U dinette on that model. Still seems more geared to families like the 30 bunk. For the true workamper I still think the Classic 33 is the best choice.

Yeah, I work fine out of my 25 Flying Cloud, is it a desk, no, it’s a dinette I work at. But the way telework is going the work is mostly on a laptop without printers and paper storage needs anymore.

We sold the 30Bunk and upgraded to the Classic 33 for exactly these reasons. Although for long-term desk work, I'll need to get a better chair than they provided with the trailer.
