FC shade question

We have a 2021 FC RBR twin with only one air conditioner, hence, two Fantastic Fans. The fan in the rear bedroom has the little shade, but there is no shade on the front fan. Anyone know, is this normal, or a factory oversight?
Thanks

What do you mean by "little shade"? I am not aware of any shades on any Fantastic Fans. Did you buy this trailer used? If so, could the previous owner have installed one vent cover? I have vent covers on both of my Fantastic Fans, but I had the dealer install them. They were not factory.

A photo of the "little shade" would help.

Only the Fantastic Fan in the bedroom has the shade.

Go get yourself a small roll of Reflectix and cut a square to fit the rear fan. It will cut down on solar heating quite a bit. This has been the summer to add all sorts of heat reducing ideas. I even lay a square of reflectix on top of the shade in the BR. We’ve camped quite a few days in temps over 100 and every little bit helps.

The shade is to limit sunlight while you get a little shut eye during daylight hours. Airstream doesn’t see it as a necessity on the non bedroom fan.

Thank you mediaman for answering my question.
I was referring to the accordion pleated shades that are installed in the two skylights and one of two fantastic fans on my straight-from-the-factory Flying Cloud. Just seemed odd to me that all but one ceiling fixture would have a shade?

I’m with you on this. On a recent trip to Arizona, that “open” window let in a lot of sun-n-heat. I’ve since added an accordion blind that matches the other ones on the trailer ceiling. Problem solved.

But that blind is expensive!

Insert into ceiling vent. Not only blocks light, but insulates to keep heat out cold in during the summer, and cold out and heat in during the winter.

The cushion looks like a great quick fix! In the long term, we will probably end up adding the shade for a permanent fix.
Thanks you everyone for your comments and suggestions.

Airstream no longer provides the pleated shade for the front vent??? It came standard on my 2015 FC.
