We have 245 nights in our 2015 FC 25 FBT. The right decision for us, mainly because of the dinette windows. Noise has never been an issue and we love the roomy feeling the twin beds give us.
Good Luck!

Only with the RB can you have both the gas oven and a microwave. With the FB you have to choose gas oven or microwave.

We were looking at the International RB today at Can-Am in London and found we prefer the two ovens, larger bathroom, lounge layout and the two outside lockers - one huge locker under the rear bed and another under the front lounge.

We also anticipate liking the view from the rear bedroom panorama windows while having a coffee in bed if that is where the view is, but generally enjoy the view from outside under the awning. We don't spend a lot of time at the dinette except at meal time if the weather is bad.

The differences may be subtle, but they could end up being significant.
For us the significant differences in the floor plan were in the outside storage bays, the toilet/sink area, and the availability of both an oven and a microwave. The very large rear storage bay in the RB model is extremely convenient and useful. It's just not that way in the FB model.

I believe the 25FB has no microwave VS the RB. Just something to consider if a micro is important to you.
That may be true. I remember when I looked a few years back, one 25 model came with the oven/stove and the other just a microwave but I believe there were options Another big difference mentioned already that is the access to the trunk from outside. In an FB the LP tanks are in the way.

I have not camped nearly as much as others; however, almost every time the noise at the campground has been from the front area- people walking by, vehicle area in front, etc.

Replaces the LP oven. With the RB you can have LP oven and microwave/convetion oven and its at shoulder height vs knee height on FB

Not true. We have a 2014 25ftFB and the locker is on the curbside not behind the tanks.

On the FB Twin, there's a locker behind the propane tanks...it's the locker under the nightstand. This in addition to lockers under both beds. Another reason some people prefer the twins. (Queen bed for us though...can't give up the "snuggle time" on cool nights! )

Ditto: We have the twin and love it (rear). Makes the bedroom into another living room.

Thumbs up

We started with a 16 foot 2006 Bambi. From that experience we realized that more space would be necessary for longer trips with our 3 dogs. We knew we wanted the 25 foot or the 27, however having twin beds in the front was definitely more desirable. The view from the dinette in backup sites is much more serene than the view of the road. The twins give a larger feeling to the unit and plenty of space to get dressed or even set up a portable office/hobby area away from the galley. The twins also give you 2 outside storage areas on the outside. With the shower and the bathroom opposite each other you have the luxury of closing the sliding walls and creating a bathroom suite. And yes it does have a convention/microwave unit right under the 3 burners! We have had our 25 FB Safari now for 2 years and have taken "Rosie" on the road for a month at a time and love the layout!

There are a few days you would like to sleep or just lay in bed and read and our RB Twins is great for that, keeps you away from the noise.

One of the great things about Colonial is that they leave you alone to spend all the time you want is different models. It's time well spent.

One more thing you might want to consider - the bathroom layout - we have the FC 27FB which has the same bath layout as the 25 FB - I don't like fussing with the folding pull-out "door" for privacy from the living area, so I just leave the "powder room" door open at a right angle, blocks most of the hall to the front and is out of the way of the shower door. That effectivey makes a complete bath across the entire middle of the trailer. (I'm slender but like my space! LOL)

We also added coat hooks at the top of the "powder room" door on both sides, so the towels are right by the shower entrance when door is open.

I think it's good to hear opinions, get ideas of what to think about. Obviously, personal preferences of the one who's going to be using the trailer will prevail.

We plan on doing mostly state and national parks, and are avid outdoors people. Can you please poke holes in our plans? I notice that 3/4 of dealer inventory is in FB units, so obviously they are more popular. Why?
My 2015 FC had a front EAST-WEST bed, and it was a 'bitch' for me to get in and out of. Also the Queen bed takes up the whole room as in; Queen bed in a bunkbed room.
(The wife was fine with her side).
Also it was kinda short on storage space. So........
I gave it back to CanAm and took a 30' FC. With a rear NORTH-SOUTH bed..
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
Comfortable, easy to get in/out of; and LOTS of storage.
No real difference in towing; both were easy to pull.
I'm very happy with my 30' FC.

It seems like a lot of you really like the twin layout, which we haven't considered. We do like to lay close to one another before falling asleep, and I wonder if we'd miss that. But the twin layout is very spacious!

If you are 'close' to your 'honey', stay close!
It'll reap benefits.

"access to the 'trunk' from the outside"????
On my previous 25' FC, I didn't know that there was a 'trunk' storage there.
My 30' FC has lots of storage at the aft end, under the bed.

25 fb or 25 rb?

We had a 25 FB and bought it for the view out the back. We now have a 30 with a RB.

THE 2 features I like best are the Twin Beds and the larger bathroom. In a 25 There are 2 different size bathrooms and I believe you only get the larger one in a RB but it is worth it.

We also got rid of the oven (just have the cooktop) and got 2 drawers doing that. Great choice....does anybody use the oven.?? We added the micro/convection and that more then takes care of us.
