Anybody travel with their bikes inside their airstream? If so, protective measures?

See above

We carry ours inside. There are a couple of threads here on others doing same.

I screwed two fork blocks on some scrap plywood. We put a beach towel on the floor, in front of the bed (27FB), and an old shower curtain on the bed to protect it from grease.

The plywood is cut wide enough it prevents bikes moving side to side. Rear tires sit on plywood with wood tracks to keep bikes straight.

Result is bikes ride very stable, do not move, but we cannot get into bedroom or bathroom with bikes stored.

There s a thread with bikes by dinette, frees up bed/bath rooms, partially blocks dinette.

I will try and snap pics of the setup tomorrow.

... forgot to mention the plywood goes on top of the beach towel. Towel wraps up around edges of wood, just a bit, to protect walls of trailer.

I got a two-slot bike holder that the front wheels go into. I put it at the rear between the twin beds. I mounted two eyebolts, one on each side, into the bed frames and secured the bikes with a ratchet strap. Worked ok but didn’t like having to remove bikes for one night enroute stops.

Carry mine in 16ft Bambi facinf towards the bed. Used a piece of 5/8 particle board 1 x 2 ft with two front fork bike clamps attached. Mounted 12 ins apart with 4 inch offset. Remove the front wheels and turn the handlebars 90 degrees (in line). Attach the two bikes together at the rear with a bungy cord. Access to anything inside is a problem and setting the clamps requires a bit of fiddling. Otherwise no problem. Rear tires tend to prevent any movement on the rear of the bikes. Do put a towel over the gears at the rear of the drivers side bike to prevent rubbing on refrigerator. Front wheels go on bed or in the tv (and remember not to forget them!)

for years we carried our tandem inside the trailer. we put carpet under the wheels and towels on the cushions to support the seats and handlebars. The towels hung down far enough to protect the cushions from the chain. The bike laid on its side. We had NO damage to the trailer or bike with this method. The bike stayed "put" .

I usually carry my bikes inside our tow vehicle. But on occasion I’ll put one bike between the twin beds using a fork mount I attached to the night stand.

Hello we carry a 1 bike with a bike rack it sits on the floor and supports front tire! We support it to leg of front table! And also a square cooler full next to it for support! It has worked great! Bike stand is all metal and sturdy it was purchased from Amazon!

We carried our Barcroft recumbent tandem inside. It laid on its side, wheels on floor and seats resting on couch. Traveled great.
