Access to the outside

I am thinking of installing a Weboost cellphone booster to our 2017 Flying Cloud 23FB but I do not want to drill into or cut the interior/exterior shell of the AS. Is there a pass through from the battery box or tv antenna into the interior? Also I have the connections for the solar panels up top, could this be used as an access point to fish wires into the interior? Thanks.

how about your fridge vent? I have seen lots of solar panel installs use the fridge vent to get wires inside the trailer.

I don't think this model has a roof mounted fridge vent so I don't think that's an option.

You are correct. The vents for the frig are on the curb side not the roof.

We full time in our 27FB FC so I have a permanent installation at the RV park and a temp installation when we travel.

For travel, I mount my antenna on an 8’ PVC pole and then attach the pole to the side of the AS with a suction clamp (mirror/window carrier) that has pipe clamps. The cable is routed in through the furnace via a flat cable.

At this time it is storming so I can’t take pictures of either set up but keep an eye on this particular blog and I will post them this weekend (weather permitting)

We use a weboost and have the antenna on a 20' extendable flag pole. I just run the cable through the door and screen when I need the booster and I bungee the flagpole to the awning bracket next to the door. On our trailer there is enough give to the gasket to allow the cable to pass through without damage to trailer or cable. I find that in many places antenna height is the difference maker for getting a signal. If I could find a 40' antenna that telescoped down the way my 20 footer does, I'd use it.

You can purchase a section of 'flat' coax to go in door jambs.

On my trailer the wires from the 7-way, tongue jack, and breakaway switch go into the frame near the coupler and come out of the frame under the front of the trailer where they go into a hole in the floor and come out under the sofa. If you use a telescoping pole at the front that could be a path if your trailer is like mine.

Well it took awhile, but I finally got the chance to take some photos of my Weboost installation in our 2018 27FB FC. As I stated previously, I mount an 8’ pvc pole to the side of my AS using the modified mirror/window carrier by Techno RV.

I routed the cable into the AS through the furnace access plate using a flat cable acquired from the DirecTV installer.

Once inside the AS, I ran the cable towards the rear of the trailer.

Underneath the street side dinette seat, I used Command Strips to attach the booster to the wall and powered it with an extension chord.

The interior antenna sits on the dinette underneath the wrap around window.

The best example I have seen this booster work for us was in Pala Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Pan Handle. Camping in the bottom of the canyon, our AT&T coverage went from zero to 3 bars.

Thanks for sharing I liked the assembly you made to hold the pole extension. Like the earlier post I am going to try to run the cable from the battery box area to the the inside. The pole assembly will work wonders. Thanks again.
