23FB Dinette Table

Hi, my wife and I recently purchased a 2017 23FB, if you are unfamiliar with the layout take a look:

I really dislike the table setup, it's really restrictive, and I wish there was an option to remove the table. I believe you can only raise or lower it based on whether you want to use it as a table or bed.

Has anyone modified their table so the area could just be used as a couch? We really liked the layout of this model especially the bathroom being inclusive of the shower. I just wish it had a better lounge area.

We had a piece of 3/4" walnut cut down to a smaller size to allow egress to the curb side of the table. Spacious and comfortable and still allows us to enjoy meals together.

What humans put together, super humans can take apart. Honestly have not tried to remove the table. The lift pedestal should allow for the table top to be removed, but not sure you would like the floor bracket left behind, so you would likely just remove it and install a false floor to cover the holes.

There is a thread that discussed the removal of the dinette from a 23 by a shop in Sacramento, CA. They ought to know what would be required to remove the table. Believe "lindaebrewer" is the owner and might be willing to help. Pat
