We just removed the stock wheels/tires and upgraded to a 16" (Sendel/Michelin) set up. It was also good practice for changing tires as I have never done that with a trailer. We bought a spare wheel/tire as well and it fit into the holder with no problems at all (I thought it was going to be tricky!). The second picture is the Airstream (Tiki) after de-winterizing and a wash.

So my wife asks me, “Do I always have to hear that clunking sound coming from the bathroom?” Yea, I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not![emoji848]

We installed a Kohler soft closing toilet seat! Only had to make a small modification to the vent tube shroud that’s between the seat hinges. Could have left off the cover but we think it looks nicer with it.

I did the same. Simple and effective. But I never had the vent cap (bought mine new from a dealer - must have left the trailer before I took delivery). It does look a lot better. I'll have to see if I can find that part at the AS store.

Hi George. Thanks for the shoutout! The brand we bought was Kohler, and we got it in store at Home Depot.

SteveSueMac-Just to let you know, the vent cover was from our original factory Dometic toilet seat. I had to carefully pry it off. Then I used a die grinder to cut out the outline of the new seat hinge covers. Used double stick tape to keep cover in place.

Not sure if the Dometic cover piece is available separately as the cover is attached to the seat.

Good luck! John

I got a Bemis soft close toilet seat and lid. It did not conflict with the cover.

Which Bemis did you get? No conflict would be a bonus.

So I picked up a Bemis cover today and I'm trying to figure out how there was no conflict with the tank cover. Do you have photos?

Sad to say but my trailer is in storage still. When I go, I'll take picks. Now you have me wondering for myself what it looks like. I know I didn't remove the cover. But like SteveSueMac noted that they didn't have a cover, I'm wanting to check mine...

Hey Wave man
RAMCO Engineering Inc. part #MSSLQ12, about $76.95 on line direct from them. It's the same stock one Airstream used for the bedroom TV. I just got the part number off of the back if it.
Hope this helps.
Happy travels

Thank you for this 4riveteers!, it’s on my short list of things that would make a difference! I appreciate you taking the time to reply [emoji16]
