New 2023 Classic 30. While winterizing ran across these various tubes street side under the Alde. Does anyone know what the small black tube with the red valve on the end is for. Draining the Alde glycol?
Believe me, I was confused when I looked and saw all of those tubes coming through the belly. I figured all of them out, except for the one at the far right.
None of those pipes/tubes are identified in the manuals. I guess I can just open the valve for a second and see what comes out. If it’s glycol then there must be a new way of changing out the glycol at the two year service. Also if it is glycol I’m not thrilled about that valve being outside of the trailer.
Where else would you want the 4 gallons of fluid drained? Inside the unit?
Actually, yes inside the trailer. From what I’ve read here on the forums the draining, flushing and adding new glycol is all done inside the trailer thru the expansion tank in the bathroom of the 30 Classic.
If the valve in question is for draining glycol then it seems there may be a new procedure for changing the glycol.
I see. I haven’t done the service before, so I’m taking it all at face value. I know there is some sort of pump involved. I always just assumed it was done outside.
