What Size is the Low Pressure Quick Connect

Does anyone know what size the quick connect is on the low pressure propane port? I tried a few google searches and forum searches but could not find it... thanks in advance.

From my experience, I assume its the same size but I could be wrong. I bought several hoses and all of them fit without knowing what size.

What Size is the Low Pressure Quick Connect

There are two different standards for the disconnect - one for air, one for propane. They differ in the shape of the connector. Type A or type B, I do not recall which. They usually come with 1/4 male pipe thread (NPT) to connect to your hose.

Low Pressure Port Size

Have just finished buying fittings and hoses to connect my newly converted to propane generator. My 14 Sport has a 1/4 fitting. Was told by local propane company 1/4 is fairly standard for RV use but 3\8 are more common in other usages.

Also learned that gas and air quick connect fittings are NOT the same.

We tried camping world and several other places but finally found the right one at a propane dealer. I got a couple that fit but wouldn’t allow propane to flow.

I recently had a propane extension hose made at a local shop that makes hydraulic hoses. The Mr Heater part number F276181 is the quick-disconnect fittings that work in my AS.

They had 3 different 1/4" propane connectors to choose from. The only difference I could see was the length of the snout. The first male connector I tried would fit into the AS Low Pressure Port, but no gas came out. I returned it and got these which work as expected.

^^ what Relaytest said.

You don’t say what year and model trailer you have. On my 2014 25 FB the fitting on the trailer itself is an MB Sturgis Model 250: https://mbsturgis.com/products/model...ct-x-1-4-fnpt/

This one worked perfect for our grill. Can get hose in whatever length you want. I believe there is a recommendation for length that someone will likely chime in on.

Mine is 1/4". If you will be using it for a grill, you will need to remove the regulator as there is already one on your AS. With 2, you will not get enough propane to cook with. As LDDUFFY mentions, get propane (tapered at the end) fittings because they all not the same.
